Nice vid! Never knew the natives were held back that much by their specific reform mechanics. So my idea for a vid is doing what Third Odyssey mod did except instead of Byzantium, the top 8 great powers at 1444 are exiled/exodused to the new world.

Next time you do one of these, PLEASE change the uncolonized land to look like actual land and not just be gray. It is very hard to tell the uncolonized land from the gray nations otherwise.

Off the top of my head there is only two grey coloured nations. Two Sicilies and Tuscany. The reason why he has the uncolonised land and wastelands grey is because it boost performance more which helps to make the simulations run faster and produce more without his PC sounding like a jet engine.

hi, Fars is cognate with the english word persian/persia. khorasan means North or east as a word based on which era of persian language development you refer to it. its like how europe is refered to as the west, how arabs refer to morroc az maghreb which means west, khorasan means east or north. its meaning changed overtime. khorasan is the iranic word for north. khavar is east, bakhtar is west, nimruz is south if we use purely iranic words for directions.

Eu4 cn tip, use random province value for cheaper province. Use bad heir and consort for extra points, balance ideas. Production +2 will give you easily highest starting income.

What about coding a modifier that implements a realistic overextension, taking more tiles slowly decreases some values so ai that blobs suffers but ai that plays tall excels. Might also lead to a crazy cyclical game where small powers grow big, die, then become small and strong again.

I haven't played in way to many patches but maybe the Colonize Please could be age locked or have an end date? Nations that leave a uncolonized province next to them can get 2 free colonists dev'ing their provinces all game or the income from not running their two colonists. I don't know if this even significant enough to change, just spit balling.

Only idea i got for Colonize plz is the following: Cradle of Civilization: Any location/region that is considered a cradle of the human civilization, is the only place tags can start. Make them OPM and release all tags in that region if you desire. The idea being to see the "migration" of civilization and it may be worth turning off colonial range bonus to the Colonize plz to make it a tough more authentic in that regard. Off top of my head the cradles of civilization are Africa (not all of it but damned if i know the specific location outside of Egypt), Mesopotamia (middle east) and China (Yangtze river to be specific I do believe). May be more, but I'm not history expert, especially the earliest of human history.

@Chewbert I would love to see you make more colonizing videos like this. However it is hard to estimate what gives the best result. So maybe it would be an idea to make one video, with one scenario. However within this video show what different amounts of colonists look like. I realize this would be a lot of work to pull off. The results might be interresting however and afterwards you can make a poll for the preferred amount of colonists in the future. You can even make it a longer special video. No worries either way, love ur vids

One of the issues I've noticed with the continent version of this is that the modifier only seems to work for countries directly adjacent to a colonizable province, so Tunis can't colonize with only Africa, despite having Italy very nearby and across the med..

That's not an issue with the mod, that's an issue with the games AI. It's hardcoded to ignore europe to save calculations, if I had to guess

Fars=Pers so, they are same yes. I dont know Khorasan though. In Turkish we are calling Horasan as a state, not a country. So, I assume it is different than the other two. Pers is not used for forever in our language. Even the language is called Farsça (roughly means Farsian). I think, Fars is either Arabic or Turkish rooted version for the area.
