This is a good cover. I think the reason this song is so popular is because it attuned into the modern Christmas experience,Its all supposed to be so happy and wonderful surrounded by loved ones and material goods. The reality is its not and many folk compare themselves to others and end up unhappy. The promises and high hopes of the initial romance have died off and all there is the drink and jaded arguments. Yet spite of all, they may not have worldly success but they have each other and as the bells ring out on Christmas day, that's all you ever need.
