One handed baking! Mom skills :^) Cookies look good. I like white chocolate and totally agree they have to be good quality. I think white is also not a one-for-one swap with chocolate - - they are too different - - and I think the white just don’t always work. Looks like you worked on it, though! Thanks for sharing. I like the brown sugar addition for chewiness

Your boys are little cutie pies. Congrats. These look great I just have one question. Is it mandatory to use softened versus melted butter? Or can I use melted butter and just chill the dough for an hour or two? Also I've made your banana muffins and drop biscuits atleast twice and they are a huge hit in my house lol. Melted butter will work, but you will want to make sure it is cooled completely before adding anything to it. You would then want to chill the dough for a bit as well. I'm glad you enjoyed the muffins and biscuits. :)

It's definitely different than mine, because my macadamia nut cookie uses brown butter, otherwise they are relatively similar.

If you end up letting your son have a mullet haircut, please insist that it’s a proper Joe Dirt style mullet. He really set the gold standard for mullets.

You need to add your big pinch of salt Into the butter sugar before you cream those so the salt contrast on the tongue can ve found in every cookie.

These aren't a super thick cookie but if they spread too much you may need a touch more flour added to the dough. :)

I love this girl's recipes! But this one was not in the cards for me unfortunately 😢. I made the recipe exactly but using chocolate chips instead. I'm not sure if that messed up my dough. I also tried the refrigerated method (30mins )before baking and the dough was too thin and stuck on the parchment paper. I won't stop trying her recipes because of one bad turn out. So bummed to hear they didn't turn out for you! Regular chocolate chocolate chips would not be an issue with the dough so you didn't do anything wrong there at all! Were any other substitutes made? If not, from what you described it sounds most likely that something was just accidentally mis-measured, that happens to all of us at times so don't sweat it! Cream your butter and sugar much longer and your cookies will not be so flat.
