Hello. I am in my 50's and I've tried and tried and tried to make Chocolate Chip cookies, and i have failed every single time. I can bake cheese cakes all day long with great success - but Chocolate Chip cookies have ALWAYS been my nemesis. YOU ARE A GENIUS!! I watched the video above a week ago and took a few days to decide if I would even try (yet again) as I had said a couple years ago I was just done trying and only failing. I can't even tell you how happy I am (and my husband). I made your recipe yesterday - and lets just say there's about 6 left.. My husband and I can't stop talking about how great this recipe is. You solved all the problems I had - my cookies in the past spread out too much, didn't stay soft in the center and were flat..... NOT anymore!!!! Thank you so much - you have no idea how happy this makes me. :)

I tried this recipe yesterday and it is DELICIOUS, like, my family loved it so much. Here's some tips from me: 1. If you don't have light brown sugar, you can use dark brown sugar but instead of ½ cup, cut it to ¼ cup. 2. If you're having trouble mixing the sugar with the unsalted butter with a spatula, try using your hand (wash your hands first ofc) and really work it. Make sure the butter is fully mixed with the sugar. 3. If you don't have chocolate chips or if your chocolate chips is not enough, then you can use dark chocolate. Cut it in pieces. I don't recommend using milk chocolate because it melts very easily so when you add it in the batter, it'll dissolve and would just make it a chocolate batter. Also, milk chocolate is already really sweet, so if you want to add milk chocolate, then decrease the amount of sugar or else it'll a too sweet. 4. You don't have to use parchment paper/baking paper. Just grease some butter to the tray, and after baking leave the tray in the water, and eventually the crumbs that stuck will peel off.

I just made this recipe, following it to a “t” with two modifications 1. No nuts because no one in my household likes them except me. 2. Chocolate chips were measured with my heart, not a measuring cup. Besides adding WAYY too many chocolate chips- in the future I will task my heart with such a duty- this is, by far, the best cookie recipe I have ever used.

Actually, this recipe is great but when its still hot or warm its very chewy but when it completely cools down it because really hard... its because of the ration of both sugars... brown sugar should be greater than white because it has molasses in it which gives a caramel or butterscotch flavor and gives the cookie much chewier... i suggest put 1 cup of light brown sugar and either 1/2 or 1/4 cup of white sugar... hope to try it and if its chewy even when its cooled down, please tove a like! 😊

This is officially my go to recipe for cookies from now on. I used semi sweet chips cause that’s what I had and my cookies were so decadent. It took 18 minutes exactly and like you said they were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. My whole family loved them! If you want beautiful wrinkles in your cookies I recommend put the dough in the fridge atleast an hour and then scoop bits of the dough and form it. (Dont roll it with your hands) because I realize that If I did that, my cookie top is looking plump by chocolates, I like it rustic, it depends with you 😁

These were the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve made! I didn’t add the cornstarch nor pecan, but they still came out crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I made this dough in the morning and baked it just now at midnight. Turned out realllyyy good! A little tweak, I used only raw sugar of same total weight of sugar in the recipe, coz that's what i have. I used a bar of belgian dark chocolate and hazelnuts. Mine yielded to 17 cookies total (maybe because of the hazelnuts), baked in 10mins per batch. Thanks for this recipe! :)

I’m over 60 and have been baking chocolate chip cookies my whole life. This by far is hands down THE best recipe ever! It checks all the crunchy/chewy goodness boxes! I doubled this recipe and used butter flavor Crisco in place of the butter since it’s what I had. Added butterscotch chips in addition to the chocolate chips too since I needed to clear out my baking stash from the holidays. Who’d have thought cornstarch…huh. MAGIC! Thank you Anna!!💖

This recipe is perfect except for the sweetness. It's a tad too sweet even for a sweet tooth like myself. Reduce the brown and white in equal amounts and we're good to go. Another tip : don't do the mistake that I did , that is baking your cookies on the oven's tray directly. It gets a little unnecessarily extra crispy on the bottom. 😅 And yeah , mine got baked around 13 mins. So keep a watch on them from around that time.

Just made these cookies and they were actually pretty good! I wasn’t even in the mood for cookies but after watching the video I was craving them. I made the cookies way smaller though and ended up with 51 cookies hehe. Since I made them smaller, I only baked them for about 10-12 minutes. Also, instead of putting the tray in the fridge for an hour, I was too exited for the cookies that I put it in the freezer for half an hour instead lol. There were way too many chocolate chips so I suggest putting only one cup instead of one and a half cups. I made about a quarter of the batch today and put the rest in the freezer for next time. My family all gobbled it down and only left me one🥺Anyways, the cookies tasted really delicious especially with cold milk and this is one of my favourite recipes! Finally, anyone can make these cookies as I’m only in my early teens and I made them and I also saw someone who was 77 that made them.
