The start strat is very effective, however I think it would be more effective to lure the ottomans across the straits and kill their armies for a more decisive first war. Rather than truce breaking, I would’ve done what you did in your other Byzantium runs, where you join one of the other anatolians in a defensive war to truce reset with the ottos. For Bulgaria, a popular strat that i have adopted is to take all the costal land from the ottomans and provoke the Bulgarians. This would give you another free low aggressive expansion nation with no army. It is like a way to make the ottomans weaker without fighting. But your strat is still very effective and more interesting to watch, because of the very early coalition

I mentioned letting them cross the strait and killing the armies but didn’t want to risk it. I played it safe and it still worked out, that’s why it’s so nice because the risk was super low

I found if you start improving relations and wait a little less than a year and then break truce war, mamluks wont join coalition (thus never war or big coalition) and will even be your ally later
