I discovered that I actually had multiple instances of Chia still running...When I looked at MORE details in TASK Manager...LOTS of elements of CHIA did not close down properly...STOP the in TASK manager..Mainly my WALLET that did not SYNC.Mainnet was OK

Great job with the Videos.... For the Chia farming, I am using Hpool, out of China until the official pools open up. Then I will be going with Space.pool most likely. As I crypto mine I have 9 computers, of those I am using 3 for hpool, One to mine, and 2 as harvesters. I do not have a lot of plots at this time only a little over 40 and adding around 10 new plots a day. . when official open up I will farming chia on a separate computer and use 3 of the others as harvesters.

​@The Bunkies With the hpool you earn about 80% of what you would earn if you go to the Chia calculator. But to withdraw you have to have .2 chia as I only have 52 plots at this it will take a while even adding 7 to 10 plots a day. Also now they have up the min to 20 plots. With Chia, I believe the only way even in pools the you are going to make any real money is to have at least 300 or more plots.

I am synced, but my wallet stopped syncing again (wallet syncing, but numbers not going up)

Have you opened port 8444? Also restarting seems to help but you have to stop plotting to do so

The big problem is, Chia has lost control of the network. hpool and others have taken control. HPool decides how much chia everyone gets. The principle idea, chia Lives at home in your unused hard disk space is over. I think Chia was surprised by the development itself! With the new pool update, Chia tries a desperate attempt to regain control. It doesn't matter if you have 1000 or just one plot on your hard drive, the result is zero. What the wild pool operators are doing is a 100% successful network takeover with the result that these pools are the only winners. The result of this attack is that the many private farmers never get their investment back. Without drastic intervention, Chia will not get control back and the whole thing is turning into a huge disaster.

I agree that pools are the future of chia but what's interesting is they designed Chia initially to only be farmed by individuals with extra hard drives and now it seems like solo farmers have no chance at all.

Hi John thanks for the info and update. Im on 1.1.3 and all good so far should I temped fate and update? are you going to join pool when available? im just playing around with the set up till pools

When I was on 1.1.3 I moved to 1.1.4 and had instant regret when nothing worked. I was nervous about rolling back but then 1.1.5 came out the same day and that worked for about 15 minutes on and off. you can look at the change log but if nothing is wrong why break it?

none so far I am running 3 machines machine 1 43 plots machine 2 55 plots machine 3 58 plots - I went by an idea of running 3 machines different so better chance of reward but that was before the difficulty rate went up but will still farm anyway with solo

That sounds like a great setup. Solo is the only way right now but soon pools "should" come out by the end of the month.

Nope, which is a huge failure for Chia in my opinion. They should have released it with plots right out of the gate but they would have never considered the massive amount of growth that has happened or maybe they did consider it...

No they didn't. I've tried every fix it's still going out of sync about 30% of the time...especially at night

@@nerddadtech Yes. But it went back to not syncing soon after. However, it has been synced all day today. I think that Hughesnet slows down their internet during the nighttime off-hours and that might have something to do with it. My internet is always painfully slow after about 12:30 at night.
