Hi Mandy / Lee, Let's start by how impressive to see Mandy ordering in Thai, not an easy language to learn & speak, fair play 👍 Single-use plastics are a common thing in Thailand. Unfortunately nothing can match plastic as It's cheap to produce, sturdy & waterproof. Regarding the food, Thailand has such a wide variety of things to eat. Their skewers look absolutely delicious 🤤 Something noticeable is that people seem happy & friendly over there. Wishing you a lovely weekend, take care 🙋🏻♂️

Hi Sergio. Thanks for the lovely compliment. 🙏. Mandy has picked up a fair bit of Thai over multiple visits over many years. It's nice for me to sit back and let her do the communicating. ☺️ She does a great job and I envy her ability to instantly make good friendships with everyone she meets. That's the best part. ❤️ I know what you mean about the plastics. A necessary evil there. 😌 The food really is next level for taste and value for money. We could travel there indefinitely and never tire of it. 😋💞 Have a wonderful week 😍

Oh, we love Thai food! It's been my favourite since I first tried it in 1989 in Sydney... and is why I spent so much time in Thailand when I was younger 😁😍

Hello MyDog! Don't worry... we missed the Premiere as well as I forgot to set my alarm! We can so recommend visiting Chiang Mai... that city is awesome! I'd recommend going in January/February when the weather is pleasant for those of us from cooler climates 😃🤗 ~ Mandy

Hello L&M- Thanks so much for another wonderful video on Thai cuisine. 😋 🇹🇭 Lee…you’re killing me having sticky rice with pork for breakfast. I could eat that all day! Also impressed that you both recall the local language. How wonderful. Mandy…you noted a difference between a pastel de nata in Macau and PT. I had both but don’t recall much difference. 🤔 Cheers.🎉

Thanks Lucchese. We always enjoy making these 😋 Pork and sticky rice for breakfast... Yep, works for me too now. 😁 Mandy is the Thai language expert among us. I envy her for that. ❤️ She seemed to think the Macau pasteis had a stronger eggy flavour. It would be nice to get the two together to compare. 😁😋

Hi Mandy and Lee, Thailand really is a special country. Can't wait to spend extended periods there in the future. The first part of my trip is nearly complete. Fly from Larnaca to Abu Dhabi tonight. Despite choosing a more expensive hostel in Larnaca, it's in a great position and I have kept to budget, using local buses, including to Nicosia and buying cheap fresh food from the market. Walking on the beaches of course is free and delightful. Thanks again for inspiring this adventure to UAE/Saudi Arabia!

Wow... You're doing exactly the same trip in reverse what we had planned back in August flying from Abu Dhabi to Larnaca until our plans radically changed. We'll be going to Cyprus for sure sometime in the future so prepare for us to pick your brains for some advice. 😉 And of course we're glad to steer you the right way on your trip. Bon voyage 😁

The pandan jelly that you like, it’s called “Woon Krati Baitoey”, that means - coconut milk and pandan jelly. That is one of my favorite also. The pumpkin custard is one of my recommendation as well.

Cost of living in Chiangmai is much lower than Bangkok considering from the food price. Ha ha ah, you should grab the dessert by plastic wrap and eat at the top instead of grabbing directly 😅

Green curry looks so watery. I think they use too less coconut milk for some reason.
@nk1111410 ай бұрын
In Thailand, we normally make thinner curry than the one we make for western countries. I guess it's because we don't blend everything in the soup together and we don't normally having curry on its own hence thin curry with rice is perfectly alright :)
