Chiang Rai is well worth a visit. But it's not the "Northernmost town in Thailand", that would be Mai Sai. Chiang Rai is the Northernmost city.

@@hisyamsyamril4243 very hard to find halal food here. Your best bet is to to go to the mosque area near Jetyod road or to the Roti Payai restaurant which is near Phokunmengrai junction where muslims live. Im a malaysian too and staying with my wife here although Im not a muslim.
