Good selection of sights but there is so much more to see if you have the time. Some things are seasonal so it depends on the time of year you visit Chiang Rai but there is always something new to discover.

You can fly to Chiang Rai airport from any major airport in Thailand. You could also take a bus from Chiang Mai if you’re there first!

Where did you stay during your trip to Chiang Rai? Thank you for your video, I enjoyed it.
@worldwildhearts Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Glad it’s helpful. Regarding where we stayed - The link is in the description below the video - but the place we stayed at was called Homey Dormy Chianrai. It was a great hotel but a bit outside the center. Easy enough to take a Grab there or go by scooter / car.

hi, THANKS for the awesome video, do you think that it could be doable if I rent an automatic scooter and visit the white, blue temples and head north to the cave and golden triangle on the same day? how safe to drive a scooter on the road? wonder if its pretty curvy hilly? thanks
@worldwildhearts7 күн бұрын
You could definitely drive a scooter around Chiang Rai itself. The temples aren't too far from one another. The cave and Golden Triangle are pretty far form the city center (1 hour by car) and another 40 mins or so from the Golden Triangle to the cave. So not sure it's feasible all in one day. The road was pretty good actually and it's not too hilly on the main road. But you ideally split it up into 2 days and stay somewhere near the caves if you can. There are some amazing places in the mountains near the caves! We stayed at the MaanFah Homestay near the caves for a night

beautiful vlog!! we are going on early Aug 2024 for a day trip. Can you suggest the best places that we can go and make up in a day trip apart from White temple, blue temple and golden triangle?
@worldwildhearts9 ай бұрын
The Baan Dam Museum was pretty interesting and is not too far from the other temples. The night bazaar and just the center with its places to eat and drink is also worth checking out. Maybe Singha Park if you have some extra time

I wonder if you were able to see the signs of the city of Bangkok which is literally sinking.There's an abandoned indoor shopping mall there which is halfway filled with water. Not only that, it has it's own ecosystem of various types of fish growing larger than normal due to no predators in the area. ❤🐠❤

Hey guys, great video, thank you! I will be doing a semester abroad in Thailand from January to June and have the choice between Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai or Bangkok University. What can you recommend? :)
@worldwildhearts Жыл бұрын
We personally liked Chiang Rai more as it’s more authentic and has lots of outdoor opportunities. Bangkok has more fancy bars and clubs so probably better for nightlife… it’s also easy to get anywhere else in Thailand from Bangkok (many cheap flights etc). So it really depends on what you prefer

We did get a rental car for that part of the journey! It’s possible to get around with Grab as well to most places in the vicinity (like the waterfalls). There are also day tour offered or you could also rent a scooter which is cheaper than a car!

This is what you see on video but reality isnt as good. I did stop by chang rai and visited a tea plantation (tour sold by educational tour company). I am asian american, can attest with you that the tea tasting is a bs show. I am a big tea fan (spend $200 for just a bag of tea). I thought they give me fresh bulbs to drink but gave me bs tea that i can buy from any market in usa. They tried to sell me packaged tea bag as high price and these are chinese owned business. It told them this is an insult to my tea hobby. This is a tourist business. But thailand is a great place for sure

How much is car rental price daily? 🥹
@worldwildhearts7 ай бұрын
I don't exactly remember but we booked online via Rentalcars. We picked it up in Chiang Mai and dropped it in Chiang Rai after about 2 weeks. It wasn't very expensive (I think around 350€ for the entire trip)
