northernwolfdude - I FINALLY DID IT!! It has taken me this long, since getting the parts from Chiappa, to get that rear sight together. Were you using some type of demagnetized pliers when doing this video? Both the small screw & ball bearing stuck to whatever pliers/tweezers I tried to use. I actually ended up using Elmers glue to keep the spring in the receptacle before placing the bearing on top of it. During this time, I managed to loose the ball bearing twice, even though I'd blocked off the desk area upon which I was working. I found that, if the spring & bearing aren't placed in exactly the right position, the bearing goes flying out as if shot with a slingshot. I ended up getting the ball bearing onto the little screw by using both wooden & plastic toothpicks &, with great patience, screwing the windage knob into position while stabilizing the bearing with a wooden toothpick. Each evening tested my usually calm demeanour: if I wasn't waiting overnight to let the glue dry, I was scouring around on my floor trying to find the ball bearing. My magnetic wand actually found the bearing for me one night (I hate to admit it, but now I can't find my wand). Only in rare instances will I let go with a string of profanity at the top of my lungs when I get really frustrated. The only reason I didn't engage in that type of catharsis this time was that my dog was with me at my side, & that type of emotional display gets him very nervous. Two years ago, I'd gotten turned around on my daily walk with my dog down by the creek. I tried finding the path which I'd left, but discovered myself flailing through rosebushes & tripping over logs & foliage in the process. "Be a real man, Wayne", I thought, & act like most guys would in the same situation. So I shrieked out as many curse words as I could, & even invented some, as I huffed & puffed with torn flesh towards what I figured was the path. My display panicked my retriever, who hadn't seen me like that before, & he was jumping & barking with wide-eyed terror at the situation (and he knew I wasn't mad at him). Since that time, I've tried avoiding using curse words, even under my breath, as he starts to get nervous again. I have never worked on a piece with such small parts before. It was like working on a Swiss watch (which I've never done & never will). If it hadn't been for your video, I think I'd have given up long ago trying to replace this sight.

Thanks for the video. Are you aware of thread size of the screw tightening the sights to the gun?.

northernwolfdude - I finally rec'd the spring, which I'd lost while disassembling my Little Badger rear sight, from Chiappa. I'd placed the order by phone on July 17. On Aug.1 they sent me an email stating that the part had been shipped from their factory. It arrived on Aug. 10. I have just now begun trying to replace the sight, with the help of your video. I'll let you know when I've completed this operation. (You'd mentioned somewhere that you'd contacted Chiappa for information on torque pressures for some kind of screw operation. I suspect that you're still awaiting that info). Regards.

ya, i never heard back about the torque pressures for their screws.

hello, could you reproduce the trigger system and the full-size full body on a paper A4 paper scan and send to my email? I would be very grateful, because I want to reproduce one at home.

Hi I have pulled off my rear sight. Is there just one little spring under the elevation part? on the left side looking down the barrel. I hope so because mine only has one🤔 I couldn’t see the spring, but as you said . They are small parts. And have you pulled off the front sight? If so could you please reply with how it’s done. It looks like there is a tiny screw at the top of the sight. Cheers Brent

i have not pulled off the front sight. looking at the exploded view diagram of the little badger it shows a screw that goes down through the front sight and indexes that front sight off a flat in the front of the barrel behind the threading. should just be able to back that screw off and then slide the front sight off past the threading.

northernwolfdude thanks for the reply about the front sight. Am I correct with there only being one little spring to push the sight down against the base. Not the spring for the windage. Luckily I didn’t lose that because I didn’t know there was a very small spring there. But it makes sense on how it works to have a spring. Thank for the link. Brent 🇳🇿

@@elijahmonn3757 ya, one spring for the base of the elevation part and one spring for the windage so 2 in total, again if you look at the exploded diagram you will see them listed as part #31 and part #34, hope that helps!

northernwolfdude there is another spring I think. With a ball bearing . To make the elevation sight click when going up and down. But I think you have to pull something else off to get to it. Is there a ball bearing at the end of the other spring. The spring that is easily accessible when the sight interior is taken off. Thank you so much for your help.i hope all that isn’t to confusing. Kind regards Brent
