@deanroddey28813 ай бұрын
@@edhiggins2917 I don't know if she did or didn't, but a large diaphragm mic would easily pick that up. She could sing back four or five feet, it's just that you start picking up more of the room ambience as you move back, and most of us don't have good sounding rooms in our homes, so we tend to avoid doing that. With fairly heavy compression on it, that would smooth out the differences pretty well between singing straight on and looking to the side a bit. Actually, if she was way up close, then it would be very obvious, because a slight turn would make a huge difference. When she's already singing back that far, it won't necessarily. If she had been using a direct mic, then you'd be more correct. They tend to not work well when backed off, which is why people tend to be eating them when they are used in live concerts and such.

I had a steady diet of Zeppelin when I was about your age (look up the word anachronism and you’ll see you). I appreciate the complexity and unique style of their music more today as I’m nearly 70. I imagine only a few young people could know, much less appreciate them. Fewer people could do justice to their songs. You really nail it. Kudos girl!

You'd be surprised. I'm nearly 60, and a lot of the younger people I work with (remotely) are metal heads, and while Zep wasn't exactly metal, I think they all acknowledge Zep as one of the earliest influences. And a lot of the younger bands playing today wear Zep t-shirts, knowing full well of their legacy of their legacy BTW, have you heard of "The Warning", an up and coming power trio? Here's the lead guitarist wearing a Scorpions t-shirt. And the drummer could probably handle some Bonham, AND she sings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4e4dK2ned6Cmqs

@@cucinare-da-zero that’s interesting thanks. I’ll check it out. It’s almost safe to say Zep preceded the metal era. One of the VERY best offerings of this song I've ever heard. And I have heard it countless times in the music business. I still have some good contacts and I'm going to try to get Mr. Page himself to hear this!!!! Profoundly wonderful young lady. In my world this kind of performance gets a standing ovation. BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!

So funny that I was thinking of saying "BRAVO! BRAVO!"at the opening of my comment, but just 1 or 2 comments before I read yours I was thinking about writing that at the end of the song I suddenly had the urge to stand up and start applauding with great fervor.
@rachelflair4835 Жыл бұрын
@@jamesholmberg3158 She is awesome! Overseas contacts are aware and are trying to reach Mr. Page, but he has many requests to possibly answer and has dozens of daily requests for a response. But my connections have some weight at least. She deserves an endorsement from him!!

Definitely one of my favorite Zeppelin songs. At one point while listening to your work I thought to myself, "This is where the mellotron comes in". And then the mellotron started to play in my head for a few minutes accompanying your playing. And then the mellotron left my head and I was left with your beautiful creation that you had made your own. Well done!

I don't think people realize how much talent it takes to play anything on Led Zeplin. I started playing guitar at 12 and now I'm 64 now and can appreciate her playing and her voice. I liked it so much I played it over again,she's got a lot of talent.

The whole performance is just incredible. I'm particularly impressed by how restrained and controlled she is. So many people would just over do it to show their chops. Her version is bringing the song to life and as far as chops you can tell she could sing and play damn near anything she wanted to.

I am a huge (and incredibly picky) Zeppelin fan, you absolutely killed this. I love your arrangement, bits of interpretation, and how you added some of the mellotron and bass parts with your voice and on the guitar. Bravo! More please!
