@ShyplayX4 жыл бұрын
Micah Beckner Basically, it’s a platformer game with a simplistic plot and negligible character development. It’s honestly pretty fun on it’s own, but it makes no sense coming from the Chibi-Robo series, which as Antdude stated in the video was known for its characters. It’s basically the same thing as Paper Mario: Sticker Star; it’d be passable if it was a new franchise, but as a sequel it ignores every game that comes before it. And like Sticker Star, Ziplash had a few notable flaws in it’s execution such as the fact that you couldn’t freely choose which stage you play until after you beat all the stages in a world.
@sorcerermateo40484 жыл бұрын

I grew up with this game (released when 11) and it took me almost a decade to beat this game. It’s one of those games I would pop in for 1 or 2 hours and make basically no progress. @justsomejojo4 жыл бұрын
This, among other things like Gotcha Force and Baten Kaitos, was one of the many weird games my little brother brought home from time to time. Turns out he had an eye for those things, because while he eventually lost interest in gaming, I certainly spent tons of hours enjoying all those games. Thanks, brother! As for Chibi Robo itself: I never beat it. I remember playing and enjoying it a lot because there was always something to find and do, but since kid-me never used guides, actually getting anywhere before any amount of time passed seemed impossible. I do remember eventually finding that huge robot boi and I definitely remember progressing the divorce situation until the mother locked herself away and the daughter kinda went crazy (which terrified young me btw). It's one of those games I remember fondly despite never getting anywhere. A true childhood experience.

Hello! Self-proclaimed leader of the Chibi-Robo Fan Club, here! I just wanted to say thank you for giving this game some much needed love and spotlight! What I love so much about it is that it can be experienced in whichever way you please. If you're trying to fully complete a single objective in a single character's storyline, you're gonna run into that problem of waiting for the day or night to pass, first. But if you just go about the entire house and interact with as many people as you can within a single day or night cycle, you'll find yourself with endless stuff to do. Think of it along the lines of Persona 5. Rather than spending time with only a single character, you'll wanna spread your time around with everyone you can. It's like raising children. You don't just focus on one of them and keep the others on the sidelines until your firstborn goes off to college. You wanna interact with all of them, as frequently as possible. Advancing the stories all at once, rather than one at a time. As for the sequels.... I am sad. Park Patrol was ok, but was heavily limited due to being on the DS, and to being a Walmart exclusive (as far as I know, the only reason they did that was to bundle it with real life flower seeds, which I guess would be too weird to do at GameStop or Toys R Us.) I just recently played through Clean Sweep (the Japanese exclusive title) for the very first time, thanks to an fan translation! And I'm both thrilled and heartbroken to say that it's without question the best sequel Chibi-Robo ever got. And of course America never got it. Not only that, but they released the game mere days after announcing it, AND they released it within mere days of the Wii port of the original game! All of that, on top of being Japanese exclusive, both of them sold very poorly, when they were by far the games with the most potential. And then there's Photo Finder and Zip-Lash..... and I hurt. Chibi-Robo encompasses everything I love about the GameCube. It was absolutely fearless and tried so many outlandish ideas that Nintendo wouldn't dare attempt to do, nowadays. And not just for their flagship titles. From their more obscure properties, to completely original IP's. The GameCube was just magical... And Chibi-Robo was the embodiment of all that magic. Chibi-Robo: Plug Into Adventure remains as the best game I've ever played and I wish more than anything else that Nintendo gave it the proper treatment and recognition it deserves. A re-release of the original game NEEDS to happen! Unfortunately, most of the employees of Skip Ltd. have gone on to pursue other things. So I have little to no hope in any sort of sequel in the future that can capture the pure and utter magic of the original. The company itself is sort of in an unknown state, at the moment. After the release of Zip-Lash, any and all updates to their website or social media accounts just seised, entirely. Apparently they're called Skip inc. now, but the only reason we even know that is because of the Smash Ultimate credits. I guess only time will tell. The reveal of the Chibi-Robo Mii costume gave me such a chaotic mix of joy and heartbreak. Not only that, but Chibi-Robo was the very first spirit introduced to us in the Final Smash Direct. If the ARMS rep ends up being a character that's already a spirit or Mii Costume in Smash Ultimate, my hope for Chibi's inclusion in Smash will be reignited, once again. Honestly, if there's anyone who can save Chibi-Robo at this point, it's Sakurai. I sincerely hope we'll get to see him again, one day. Chibi-Robo NEEDS to be experienced by everyone. More importantly, it needs to be EASILY AVAILABLE to everyone. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. There've been a lot of miracle revivals in the video game industry, lately. Here's hoping Chibi-Robo will one day join them in this new generation. 2:15 I always heard it as "Don't leave me" 5:17 That's actually effected by whether or not you're mashing the A button during the charging segments. It won't ALWAYS happen, but its chances increase the more you try to skip through the unskippable dialogue by needlessly tapping A.

Chibi-Robo is the game I got as a kid and didn't really understand the appeal until many hours into it (even though I never finished it). For some reason, I eventually just had a blast doing the most mundane things in the game like picking up trash and cleaning dirt off the floor. It's a game I do hold close to my heart, but again bizarrely never finished.

Before I got into gaming, Chibo-Robo was one of the few games I remember existing while it was coming out, especially during the time it had ads on Nick Magazine. It had a bookmark on it, and I used it a lot in school, so I just remember the character very well. I always thought Chibo-Robo was cute, even if I didn't know that was the right way to put it.

AmethystLeslie Do you remember if it was a Park Patrol bookmark (green with flowers)? I’ve been cataloging all the Chibi Robo merch, so I’d be really interested to know if it’s a bookmark we’ve never seen before!

@@fliksie361 It was more periwinkle-colored, and I remember it having the game's logo, the Gamecube logo (and most likely Nintendo's logo), and a render of Chibi-Robo holding his plug over his head, which I remember the most. I've used it so much that, unfortunately, I'm positive I threw it out due to wear and tear.

I love seeing more coverage about Chibi Robo! Easily in my top 5 favorite games.. It hurts that Billy Hatcher got the same treatment too ):

One thing you never mentioned is just how *dark* this game can be. There are express mentions of family dysfunction and divorce, as well as allegories to unrequited love, mental illness, addiction, obsession, AND TWO CHARACTERS DIE. I am shocked this game didn't traumatize me as a kid.

You can progress time forward with the injured chibi robo costume really eliminates the whole time complaint

i remember playing Chibi-Robo Park Patrol for DS when I was a kid and I loved it. I'll have to give this game a shot just for nostalgia sake

Please cover the two DS games too someday! (not the 3DS ones since both suck though) Chibi-Robo Park Patrol is a very cute spinoff, but the Japan-exclusive DS game is actually a full-on sequel to the original! It's received a fantranslation very recently, calling it "Chibi-Robo Clean Sweep." It is criminal that so little people actually know about it, especially since a sequel to the original is exactly what people have been begging for from the series for so long!

One thing I notice is that the pan falling after charging usually occurs when I charge too frequently or when I recharge without letting the battery drain. Could be a coincidence .

It took me this long to realise this, but Nathaniel Bandy would love this game because it takes place in a big house.

We need a crossover between Chibi-Robo and Mega Man Battle Network. I don't know why, but it is needed.

Don't forget about the music! This game has one of the most unique soundtracks out there; Taniguchi is an amazing composer

Poor guy. Imagine being a similar type of KZbinr as Scott the Woz and being around for longer too, but regardless having to compete with him.
