In Aoyama's defense, what the hell was that boy meant to do against two villains on his own? Not to mention he'd have two unconscious people to protect and hold him back, they'd be a huge liability. Not gonna lie, no matter how disappointing it was, not being caught was the best thing he could have done in that situation.

In Aoyama’s defense. He wasn’t alone. He had to look after 2 of his classmates that passed out. Had he made any move then, he would’ve been against 2 villains both whose quirks he didn’t know about. On the other hand, his quirk has been fully shown on tv during the sports festival. They might’ve actually been killed because of his “heroism”. I think there’s a fine line that should be drawn between being a “coward” and being “aware of the situation”. Remember, even if you’re willing to sacrifice yourself for heroic deeds, that still doesn’t justify dragging others along to die for your cause or for your “justice” (which is what Deku’s been leaning on the edge of doing for a while now in the manga btw).

For the Aoyama thing Chibi, in fairness he is a 14 year old kid, I don't find it too disappointing that is scared out of his mind. Plus he was had two unconscious students with him and due to the nature of his quirk he would have been at a massive disadvantage if he thought both Dabi and Twice. To be honest it would have been dumb for him to confront them at that point without back up.

Bitch Brows Definitely! Thanks for reminding me! I was actually really glad they gave Shoji some screen time, I cant believe I forgot to mention him. Midoriya went above and beyond by devising a plan to help both bakugou and tokoyami but when it came to how calm he was with tokoyami going out of control, Shoji was very impressive.

It would have been stupid for Aoyama to try and battle two villains by himself. He would have died in vain, glad he was hiding. Of course that shows he’s putting up a front with his usual extra behaviour, and remember when he was asking everyone if they knew where he was during the UA villain attack? And he said it was a secret? Probably bc he was hiding back then too.

Aoyama was being smart, not a coward. Two unconscious classmats at his feet, two villains at his back, there's a difference between being brave and being fucking reckless. Him charging Dabi and Twice would have been fucking reckless and(he couldn't have known this, but still) would have likely lead to Momo and the guy she was with getting killed. If you look at it from that perspective, we _did_ see character progression from Aoyama, homie always tries to shine in the spotlight whenever the chance arises, him deciding to sit down, hide, and be quiet to protect his friends is the best thing he could have done, and a deviation from his usual character.

I feel like the art of this episode was a little hit and miss. The animation was fluid and all but the facial art of like midoriya bakugo and todoroki were a little off. For example that scene where tokoyami was going berserk. The animation was great but the art made it seem weaker than it actually was. This is all my opinion btw.

Deku, Mina, Kaminari and Tokoyami have a quirk that are so insanely powerful, but cannot fully utilize because how deadly they can be (they are pretty much the people having the most difficulty controlling their quirk effectively). Well my thoughts on this, I'm starting to get a HXH vibe showcasing strategic battles here and there... Glad it's not just about the power of friendship crap... Plus it also emphasises that the MC's are not GodLike immortal that coud still fight 100% toe to toe despite having serious injuries... One of the biggest reasons I have loved seeing in these episodes is Izuku as the shounen protagonist and how much he differs from the most and the well known ones, as in he's in contrast completely different from the majority by being calculative, resourceful and a quick thinker and not just pushing and forcing himself through *EVERY SINGLE OBSTACLE WITH JUST PURE OBSTINACY AND GUTS ( I'm looking at you Goku, Naruto, Gon and Luffy ಠ_ʖಠ) )* as just seen in this episode: the way he came up with the idea of using *Shoji's Dupli-Arms* quirk and utilizing the sound of the multiple mouths to bait and lure the *Dark Shadow* into following them to *Bakugo* and *Shoto* whom can produce the light needed to calm down the demon - and later on the how he improvised the *'human bullet'* by using *Ochaco's Zero Gravity - Tsuyu's strong tongue* to fling them into the air and using Shoji's *patagium-like* skin flaps to steer their flight through the air to the destination was just incredibly resourceful and fast thinking of him when under such high pressure and being *only conscious from the second wind of the adrenaline rush*

Aoyama's choice to hide made sense. He was outnumbered, and had multiple incapacitated friends right next to him. If he did something, even under the hypothetical circumstance that he could hold his own against Dabi and Twice, there's no guarantee he could protect his friends. He would have jeopardized everyone by "Being a Hero". I give him a pass

So much to talk about with this episode.. first of all Tokoyami is awesome still. Next ur giving moonfish a whole lot of credit considering he had a huge handicap, todoroki not using fire and Bakugo not using his quirk at all. Next Toga is insane and I absolutely love it, VA is fantastic. Next Shout out to Shoji getting some love. Lastly Rikka still best girl 😁

Aoyama isn't a coward, he's actually pretty smart in this situation. If he tries to attack Dabi and Twice he'll get overwhelmed by those 2 villains and Jiro and Hagakure would be in harms way.

Toga i remember what i learned her power is and man am I excited for the episode that reveals her ability. Mr. Compress I do not remember his name coming up so I do not know his deal; but let me say right now that I like Dr. Fate (if I am remembering the comic heroes name right), and all he ever was is the universes best escape artist got away from Darksides planet with his escape artist skills alone, which by the way makes him more agile and flexible then Luffy or other rubber people (slightly exagerating). So if Mr. Compress is based off him as I suspect and has no quirk but rather a skill that is on par with having powers I would be happy.

I never once made the connection between this episode and naruto, Sasuke chose to go down the villain route, Bakugo is being taken and would more than likely try to kill them all rather than join them. the Aoyama part of the episode, while it is going to be part of his character development, it was a good choice to not fight because he knew he wouldn't win that fight and while he is a coward, he also doesn't have a strong/versatile quirk that could work in any situation. "just because you can fight a villain doesn't mean you should. Don't risk your life for a pointless fight." words that are said from strong mentors to overly courageous students that WOULD have jumped into that fight without knowing the enemies' strengths or weaknesses, being outnumbered, and knowing your limit. Not fighting was all he could do in that moment, at most try following them, but even then it is a risk to be found.

Hey! I'm an anime only. On the thought of those who assumed it was gonna be a Naruto copy, I honestly never thought that at all. Not to say that I'm smarter than everyone else, I just never got that vibe from Bakugo. Sasuke left because he got so jealous of Naruto's power that he was willing to do whatever it took to get more. Bakugo on the other hand never struck me as that kind of person at all. He wants to get places on his own merits. I pretty much had a feeling that the moment the league of villains would ask Bakugo to join them, he would punch someone in the face and tell them to go to hell. Once I saw episode 7 my suspicions were correct. And that makes me so happy, because even though I think Bakugo is a little turd, I could never hate him or think of him along the same lines as Sasuke because I believe him to be a far better written character.

While yes, I do agree that Aoyama hiding was a coward move, it was also the smart move. Had he tried to fight Davi and Twice, he would have put Jiro and Toru at risk since they were unconscious. So it was the best choice overall.
