I think Tracey Hoyt really blossomed as Chibi Usa by the time they got to the Super S dub. Somehow she feels more like a little girl to me. It probably helped that she's less of a brat and more introspective by that season. Her acting in the episode where she becomes a teenager is really great.

The voice that Rini's buddy with the hairbuns has...is really not appropriate for a little kid. I love Stephanie Beard though!! She actually made this somewhat annoying character a lot more likeable. I like her better than Sandy, but it is nice when they keep the same voice for her Black Lady form.

Tracy's voice is really bratty. Chibiusa in Japanese is more elegant. Stephanie is adorable!!!!!! One of my favorites! And Sandy sounds like the appropriate age :) Japanese is perfect as always.

It's a tough call between Stephanie Beard and Sandy Fox, but I think Sandy edges out for me. She really emphasized Chibi Usa's most positive qualities and the character's sense of humor and mischief in addition to her brattiness and sadder side, which made her a very lovable character to watch. Stephanie's voice work is also as perfect as she could manage, but I often remember her for the dub of Super S, which....did not exactly have the best material for this character (I mean Super S itself, not the dub). Tracey Hoyt, however, just sucked. Her voice acting was flat, her tone frequently snide and bratty, she brought no nuance to the role and only succeeded in making Rini as insufferably annoying, unendearing and unlikable to the viewer as possible, which is probably what got the character so much extreme, unwarranted hatred back in the day. One of the DiC dub's worst aspects to be sure.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the DiC voices? I mean, opinions respected and all, but I just really don't like the DiC dub. Although I think Chibiusa (or RINI as they called her in this dub) has the best voice out of all the DiC voices, even her's, I just don't like! I'm sorry if you like the DiC dub, but I'd have to say that I enjoy the VIZ dub and the original Japanese way more. And yes, I did see the DiC dub first.

Sugar Jones was a girl group briefly in the late 90s, but a "Miss Sugar" was a vj on YTV who also voiced Rini for a time. (Personally I think fans hated Linda's voice and the whole "cousin" thing with Uranus/Neptune so it didn't seem to last very long here.) Sugar also had her....parody? of an Eminem song, The Real Sugar Baby. She seemed to disappear after Sailor Moon and YTV.. I guess Stephanie Beard is her actual name and that may explain get virtual disappearance

on ytv they used to call her sugar Jones which was her acting name. If I remember correctly, she get a handful of other voice over jobs for different cartoons.used to kind of be a bit freaky that she looks so young and was my age or a bit older basically looked significantly younger lol. I think it was the fact she only did one or two voices+ despite her age, she looked like a 11 year old that might be why she kind of disappeared. Some voice actors despite they only do one or two voices catch on and others disappear. It all depends if somebody likes that particular voice.look at Mark Hamill! People don't realize he started in voice acting long before he was in Star Wars as a visual actor. I think wizards was his first voice acting job and he had like four lines and then his character was shot in the throat with an arrow. I think he did one movie after that and then did Star Wars, he's done quite a few television and movie appearances that most people don't even know about lol . Ironically, he is probably the best Joker voice actor. He always wanted to play the Joker, but they just wouldn't let him. He tried back in the 80s and 90s, but was never able to land the role other than as a voice actor closest he ever got was he played the part of the trickster for the flash, who was a very cheesy ripoff of the Joker to say the least.

I always thought they called her Miss Sugar, or Sugar Baby....I agree it was disturbing she was an adult looking and sounding like a kid. (Even more disturbing my then bf had a thing for her....) I agree Mark Hamill is THE BEST Joker voice ever!!!!! I could rant about the way they're ruining an iconic villain, but Hamill is truly amazing as Joker! I love him in that role! Wasn't there a brief girl band called Sugar Jones? I swear I remember there being some Canadian version of some "reality" show with girls basically wanting to be the next Spice Girls, and the females who won became Sugar Jones....they had like one or two singles and were never heard from again.

the reason I know her stage name was sugar Jones was I remember they used to announce it when she worked for YTV. It's one of those stupid things I remember despite how screwed my long-term memory is a lot of us kind I had a thing for her. It was kind and one of those weird, awkward things on one hand she was really short and look like a 12 year old. And on the other hand she technically had breasts LOL. Was kind of funny that she had the cops and yet look like a little 12-year-old. I wonder, did she continue Voice acting just under a different name or something. As for the Joker. I've seen suicide squad. It wasn't a bad choice of actor. However, it was a bad choice of makeup! Whoever the moron was who chose that particular hairstyle and those silver teath. The actor did a half decent job of playing the character and if they had used a different hairstyle and not those damn teath it would've been fine. No offense to anybody who likes he's ledger but I personally felt that was the worst incarnation of the Joker in a live movie! He was about as much the Joker as Hannibal Lecter! That particular version of the Joker just didn't work right. He was strictly a psychopath and that was it. There was no nothing more to it then there was that horrible makeup job! The Joker is supposed to be Psychotic and smart, but at the same time have this twisted comedic logic whereas I don't know if it was the acting or the writing but that just didn't make sense the way they had the character in that particular movie. It could have basically been any psychopath off the street running around in a purple suit. It in short, just didn't make sense. If Heath ledger had not have died after that movie. People would probably really hate that version of the Joker.
