Very cool. I bought a Chinese Gibson Slash Signature Rosso Corsa Les Paul and I’ve shown it to guitar builders and guys that own Les Pauls, they didn’t know until I told them. Also, I used to teach at GC and played all the high end Gibsons that came in. Most of them were straight trash.. they’ve been phoning it in for years.

Played for nearly 20years. I could afford top end Gibsons. I played two ‘59 Murphy relic custom shop Les Paul’s, £14,000 each and the manager set me up with a JCM800 half stack. I played an Iced Tea top -, then a deep factory burst. And spent 40mins switching back and forth. I tend to close my eyes when I play and realised no elevated level of creativity was accessed compared to my playing my 92 LP standard aged in through my playing over 10 years. Both Murphy LPs felt like lifeless fashion statements backed by nothing but marketing. I thanked the manager bought some strings and left. Businesses want to make you feel competition is the “cheap” option. Hence there are so many KZbin videos of Marshall AFDs and a young guy playing a >£2k LP through. Gibsons huge profit margins can’t last. Great vid.

She told me I could place an order through her PayPal , does this sound correct ? @@BrentSaylor-v2y There are a few ways she does it. I don't use PayPal so I cant speak on that side of it. She is one of the most well know custom builders in China though. Facebook is also a good way to see what she is all about before making any decisions. She has her own group of lots of fans. Never buy if you are not comfortable is what I always say. At the end of the day its your decision. I can only speak from my experiences. The wait will eat you up worrying if you are not comfortable.

I bought the Ace Frehley guitar and I love it!! I bought also the type of case that you got but mine is black with the black soft interior. For $280 and $75 case I’m really happy with my purchase super happy as a matter fact. And I got to see what really got me excited about that guitar, wasn’t just that I love Ace Frehley, but you’re extremely informative video on his and the other Chlbson reviews you’ve done. She both sells and has her hands in guitars builds. She has certain builders do certain work on certain guitars. Kinda like many other Major brands do. She has certain places that she is more involved and hands on. LIke in the metro areas where she spends most of her time. Ones that are farther away in rual areas of production facilities, ( that build many V models) are not as easy to oversee for QC. It is impossible to oversee every single build. If people don't understand this fact than they need a business lesson. Cathy has had her hands in very many guitars being built . From the design aspects, to shipping. How do I know? Because I have seen it with my own eyes. I have spoken personally on the phone with her. I have even seen her hands on many of my guitars. Of course, she doesn't build them all. That's just ridiculous. That's like saying the CEO of Gibson builds them. My point is she is directly in the process of many. Including packaging and shipping. When a Guitar goes though the Gibson plant you don't think the same guy that starts it finishes it do you? Many like to talk, but few actually know the facts. She has many "BUILDERS" build guitars. That's how it works. The difference is she takes part and plays a role in many of the builds. As well as oversees them. Some of the same workers that work for Epiphone head right over to other facilities after there shift, to build other guitars for other brands all under one roof. This is how it is in China. And if people want to make a big deal for any of it , so be it. It doesn't effect me in anyway. But The fact that She owns and subs out work is a reality. Just like every other Company does. But she is NOT just a broker.

I don't have a Chibson, but would consider if they do quality work and would build one for me with a commercial logo. Checking out Kathy's site, it seems the offerings are limited and prices are high. For the price of one of her Greeny's, I can get two FF's or two HB's ... and not deal with any issues.

Cathy is a good communicator, ordered the epiphone greeny, arrived with a broken neck, kindly sent a slash replacement but it arrived broken also. I Tried to fix but not fixable. Definitely disappointed.

Ordered a custom from Cathy and the guitar i got was a hunk of shit. Crooked neck, the fret job was really bad, fret buzz all over the neck, orange peel paint, the tuner does not aline. I received an unplayable guitar that is impossible to fix. If you leave a bad review on her fb accounts it's getting deleted. I have talked to several unhappy customers that got crappy guitars. Roll the dice. Some get good guitar some get trash.
