Just disco-vered this channel ... and I fully agree! Been a DJ a few decades ago and in my country, in my time, DJ Ben Liebrand was the best. DJDiscoCat rivals that, easily! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Liebrand And I know music lovers will appreciate that all Ben's mixes were magnetic tape loops in thos times :) no pitchable turntables kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmqveoVshs-qpbM kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHu9nqJums5srqM

Little fun fact: When I was a DJ in the 80's, these two girls asked me to play "Africa" from a band they couldn't recall. So I played Africa from Toto for them. They came back and told me that was the wrong song. I couldn't recall many songs with "Africa" as a title. It wasn't until I played this song that they came running to me, telling that this was the "Africa" song they wanted to hear. I almost pissed my pants.. " Ah Freak out" was interpreted as "Africa".... LOL

About a year ago I saw a documentary about Nile Rodgers and Chic and was mindblown how he lives for music really, he loves it with every fiber of his being, something many of us can relate to. After watching that I thought how cool it would be to see Chic and Nile live. On 15th of June this year they played in Ireland, Malahide, where I live !!!! My friend and I just went outside of the area to listen to the music at least, and very suprisingly we ended up inside!!! One of the best shows I saw really, 10000 people booging and dancing with each other, so much love in the air that evening, wishes do come true sometimes...

I can only say: WOW! I LOVE it! You've done a masterful job with this track, using only elements of the original recording and enhancing them. I don't like remixes where you can't recognize the original track anymore so this is perfect! I wish this was released officially on CD. This masterpiece of a record still brings the house down, just like it did in 1978. The talent of this group was off the charts. They don't make records like this anymore.
