I really don’t know what it takes but here’s what I think. Charlie has over half a million subscribers so he has to be make somewhat decent money to pay for traveling from @KZbin and donations from @cash app and @PayPal. Takes free time, money, safe working vehicle and camera equipment. I’m sure it’s 99% if not all his footage. If I’m not mistaken Jay z has some of Charlies captured footage in one of his music videos.

I'm guessing he either had a job he could do from the computer, or even like a trucking job. Something that afforded him the money and travel time to start. But at this point, he easily gets enough interaction, that the youtube likely supports him and his travels. If you're familiar with the layout of the country, you can see the directions he is headed and pretty much predict what area he will be in next. If you scroll his videos in order and the anount of time between each video, it's all reasonable to be where he is at at each given time.
