The Bears need to get someone in upper management who has familiarity with offensive line players. They have big problems with run blocking and pass protection and the play calling is not accounting for the short comings. They need at least 1 QB designed run per half and 2 to 3 roll outs per half. They need to slow down the offense play calling and run the ball more to keep the defense fresh. They need to tutor CW when he is on the sideline with some screen time of what the defenses are doing, how the plays are unfolding and who is getting open.

As a bears fan… this was painful BUT Caleb Williams silenced the doubt. He made quite a few great throws and mostly looked comfortable. There was only one truly bad mistake (the second interception was just bad luck, and the fumble was partially his fault but really not that concerning since most quarterbacks would probably do the same thing). Especially towards the end of the game, he played consistent and effective on 3rd down. This is all with a nonexistent run game, which only makes things harder for him. Also, Rome is him.
@DaBears890Ай бұрын
Agreed
@hayz1313Ай бұрын
Caleb clearly has what it takes but if they dont do something to improve that O line fast then theyre gonna ruin him
@ThatGuy-nv7cxАй бұрын
@@hayz1313the concerning part is the run AND pass block win rate last year was within the top5 in the nfl despite constant injuries, so it’s either something happened in the offensive scheme or this oline just crumbled in the offseason. The bears were averaging 4.5 ypc last season (2nd in the nfl) When everyone and their mother knew they were running and couldn’t throw the ball. This year they’re averaging 3 ypc (2nd worst in the nfl) yet they have a much more potent passing attack. All of that with basically the same oline. It just doesn’t make any sense.
