I'm not sure if Lake Michigan is ever warm. It was always cold when I lived in the area. 🥶 What an amazing tour and discussion. ❤❤❤❤😊😊

What a fabulous video Dave!! Amazing trees and amazing knowledge shared, I learned a few things, Thank you so much!! Chris mentioned holding a tree back because of cicadas!!! OMG! My eyes flew open wide! We have them here in my yard, in fact my chihuahua insists on playing with them and trying to bring them alive into the house! I did not think they could be munching on my trees. I will be watching my brand new BRT closely!! Thanks again Dave for such a fantastic video! I hope I can get to Chicago one day to see their exhibit.

I think I am starting to favor the more "natural style" of bonsai design that we see here in MN and along the many lakeshores. Just this last weekend (08/17-18) I toured the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake. I took photos of the trees for reference. Natural already does some magical things to the trees. I am moving towards designing my trees in that fashion.

@@DavesBonsai it’s so fun. I’m doing willow as they grow so fast. I can play with fun shapes. Junipers grows so slow.
