I feel very lucky to have been a teen in the 60's & living near Chicago, Ill as I got the best of Rock, Philly Soul, Motown, etc. This band still gives me chills after all this time. Just sensational!! Remembering the late Terry Kath as well.......

I was told that when Chicago started, the members of the band all graduated with the best musical degrees, and it shows! I love the breaks, horns and guitar etc....unbelievable! I never tire of their playing! I love them!
@brucemoeller7 жыл бұрын
Exactly! First and foremost, these guys were true musicians who could play just about anything...and did. They did cover band music=-pop hits to get work....but then they teamed up with a manager who got them into the studio to play their original stuff. Robert wrote 7 of the songs on the first album, but each guy took a solo. Their first song was "Introduction." That was a hellova song. The lyrics were true to the band, and with heaven's help, it blended. CTA was the first album I ever bought...and I still have the vinyl. Love the band....the original stuff was the best.

Say all you want about Robert's looks... is it botox, is it good health, or is it the best skin care products money can buy. His voice though is unmistakably 100% natural and real. This man sounds just as good at 72 as he did at 22.

I like how Robert Lamm said “introduce the band from a safe distance.” How appropriate is that line in today’s world.

Love the horns squirreling around bending the notes. In the 60s we had to have Chicago to get through the day.

I am a huge Chicago fan and I am recommending you guys check out Leonid and Friends. They are a Russian Chicago cover band. Absolutely incredible. You will be blown away by their technical skills but even more by the passion and love of Chicago's incredible music that comes across so well watching them play. You won't be sorry.

...they are OFFICIALLY ready for Vegas!! def lost that hard edge w/o Terry & Peter left quite a hole to fill, two monster musicians & vocalists... its hard for Robert to hold it all together , but i guess w/ todays crap & all we need every great band of the 70's & 80's as we can get to tour and keep this soulful music alive. Danny Serraphine should never have been dismissed, that was a mistake, the guy was most important to their root sound. he deserves alot more respect than how it went.
@lynntempleton96407 жыл бұрын
Time marches on. Bands change. Keeping a band together for 50 years is nearly impossible. Imboden, Howland and Scheff have been with Chicago longer than the originals. They continue to fill arenas world wide, and now with a new bassist. The original Chicago was great. The current Chicago remains a tour de force.
