In the UK if they feel your a risk to the pulic or risk of not turning up to court they can 'remand' you to prison until your court date to make sure you attend, if your held on remand and found 'Not guilty' you are not entitled to compensation as you are not classed as convicted and claim it was necessary to hold you in custody just incase you are guilty of the offence, bail is more likely to be given at the police station, bail is very rarely granted by law courts in the UK. We dont have the 'bail out with cash' option here, these documentaries are about as close as to how jail actually here is although they have definitely kept the 'verbally abusive officers' off the documentary though. Gemma (as an ex prisoner myself) I'm not sure if she's a legit convert or whether she's doing it for clout as she seemed to say she converted after she was nearly battered 😂 seems sus but if she's found religion fair play and good on her, her also saying she's willing to kill herself if she's ends up back in jail seems mad causing the ultimate sin and ruining her entire religious path seems like an epic fail, Gouch isn't a part of the Manchester Gooch gang he's from Southern England by sounds of it most likely Essex (I'm from Manchester so guessing the accent)
