Great video. Feels like it ran like the modern forest park branch. Definitely the refurbishing branch got makes me appreciate the pink so much🎉

It’s interesting how different this branch/line is today compared to the other branches of the blue line, which are nearly identical today to how they were in this video…

I first rode that line with my cousins when I was little bitty, we rode the L to Logan Square which was the last stop. The Marshall Blvd stop was still open and the Homan Ave station was long ago closed already. I still remember seeing the old yard at Pulaski Rd station and the long ago closed Kenton St station and Kenton St yard too

I lived on Marshall Blvd starting in 1960. I don’t ever remember the Marshall Blvd stop ever being operational. I couldn’t tell where it was from this video.

I was living in the Beverly neighborhood then. My cousin was living on Drake St near the Douglas L then, right across from my old grammar school, Sol R Crown school.

I remember when the trains were actually crowded.

True. This was long ago, which is why it wasn't crowded. I was on the Blue a few days ago, and I couldn't wait to get off from all the people in it!
