With all due respect, I’m pretty sure that about 90%+ of humanity would agree with your claimed intention to bring inner peace to any and all of mankind. I can’t put my finger on why, but somehow your comment seemed so desperate and like the proverbial “red herring”, was meant to obfuscate your own inner malevolence, which would be ONE reason why your comment seemed to cheapen the ideal of goodwill towards all of mankind. Sorry. May peace be with you.

My daughter's all time favorite group. She passed away in 2014 at the age of 43. I remember her playing Chicago all the time, we loved them together,. Putting them on the stero and dancing in the front room. I loved them too. I now play them for sentimental reasons, ,Chicago I now play to remind me of her. I love and miss you my sweet daughter. Chicago's songs listening to them reminds me of all my loving memories of you. You were so happy then and very loving. God bless you my daughter, mom loves and misses you so much.

Hugely sorry for your loss. But thanks for sharing, your courage in sharing as it can't be easy. My youngest daughter and I had a trip to Yellowstone park and we listened to Chicago's greatest hits and since then Chicago is that musical bond between us. Music does bond us together and Chicago is one of those bands that when you hear them, it immediately takes you to a place. Again, sorry for your loss, but I understand the bond you have and wanted to share mine as well.

I'm a 64 year old Black woman and I have loved Chicago since I was a teen. I grew up in Harlem and my sister and I listened to an array of music on the radio in our bedroom. Today I am a retired teacher who has a masters degree and I am a homeowner in an affluent neighborhood in New Jersey, but Iove my 70's music an my 80's music. These guys were true artists that I will never see again in my lifetime and I know that I am blessed to have grown up with these amazing artists. Not only Chicago, but the Bee Gees, Todd Rundgren, Steeley Dan, Ann Murray, Barbara Streisand, England Dan and John Ford Coley. I love Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello and Barry Manilow too! I love my Black artists very much, but I have to pay homage to the White Boys who had so much soul and gave love and inspiration to my life as a young girl growing up in the 60's, 70, and 80's. I truly was best to have been exposed to beautiful music when music was worth listening to. They just don't make music like this anymore and they will never understand the feelin because the world was different. Music has nothing to do with race. Beautiful Music is UNIVERSAL and Transcends Time!

It's not the same band anymore. Half of the guys in this video aren't even in the band anymore. Bassist/vocalist Jason Scheff, keyboardist/vocalist Bill Champlin, guitarist Dawayne Bailey and drummer Tris Imboden all have left the band years ago. From what I've read online, sax/flute player Walter Parazaider is no longer touring with the band either due to health issues. So that's the lion's share of the band in this video no longer together. Only Robert Lamm (keyboards/vocals), Lee Loughnane (trumpet) and James Pankow (trombone) left with a bunch of newer musicians. Not to say that whatever current lineup wouldn't put on a good show, but it's largely a different group.

I’m from Ottawa, Canada. I have to say that the Americans have to be proud to have produced the best artists in the world. Chicago amongst so many. In Canada we are ions away from ever producing beautiful music like that. But we’re trying. Maybe one day! That music save me in my life from depression. I’m 62 years old. Luckily we have you tube because I never had the chance to see Chicago. But my teenage years and my twenties were amazing because of all the great music and bands coming out of the United States. The disco and the soft rock made me who I am today. I’m a good person who tries to help the most vulnerable of our society in Canada. Music opened my heart. ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️

Of course, I miss the original band members who left the world much too soon; but hearing the original horns & sax still fills me with excitement & joy. In the early 70’s, they performed at my college. Afterwards, a few of the band members headed up the highway to a restaurant at the truck stop. My boyfriend was working there pumping diesel, & got to meet & talk to a few of the members of the band! I still can’t believe that showed them my picture! A few years later, I was lucky enough to see their performance in Chicago! What could be more perfect! At 70, I still get chills up my spine when I hear some of their early CTA songs, & the classics, of course! 🎺

Rare to have a composition of so many music professionals on one stage. Three gifted singers, some members being eloquent in more than one instrument, not one wrong sound, no long talking pauses between the songs, songs played very near to the studio version, wide spectrum of wonderful arrangements in each of the songs, just perfect music from the finest. Great musicians.

I love Chicago,, they were awesome when I was growing up,,In 1967 I was in the 7th grade,,I was playing guitar and singing out in front of people, chasing women, i thought i was a big shot, with my 4 cousins,,we played a couple of their tunes,,I still think Peter Cetera was one of the greatest singers Chicago had,,I played in several different bands growing up,,but those early years bring back so many memories of romances and great times,,back then was such a great time for music and different bands like Ambrosia, that could really harmonize, the Eagles,,with great harmony, even going back further, Johnny Rivers,,poor side of town,,Baby I need your loving,Daryl Hall and John Oates,, but Chicago really has stood the test of time, they're music will never die out,,neither will these other groups I named,,and I'm still playing the guitar,,messed around with the saxophone also,,

Scottie, I agree with you! I have and will always listen to Chicago, no matter who the band members are. Can those critical of this iconic group grab their instruments and sing on stage for decades after decades, 9-10mos of the year and perform as well as their 1st tours? I read somewhere Chicago hasn’t missed a performance. In sickness or feeling under the weather, the show must go on! Please do not insult the members who give their 150% on stage 😀 !

@@gingerwong3986 Amen Ginger, if you were Chicago band ember you've worked hard and played for s long time Unless you're a child prodigy who minored in Chicago the band and its music. I was a bit worried when I first saw the young guitarist until I got to the 3rd song and I resigned myself in to believe if Terry Ca ive log enough to be on stage with this version of Chicago h would most likely sound the same as this young shredder gone jazzman rocker . Still rocking to Chicago's Lullaby

@@wades_world_lederman_style Many ppl may not be aware these guys probably picked up their 1st instrument at 8 or 9 yrs of age & haven’t put it down since. Each lead guitarist has his own “style” & Dawayne Bailey was very different from Terry Kath. Both were excellent. I liked how Dawayne shredded his guitar & felt he brought youthfulness to the group. I feel with Jason & Dawayne, Chicago was at it’s tightest, but that’s my opinion ☝️. I’ll see them this summer with a whole new line up.

@Pamela W yes but it is now 2021. Terry has been gone since 1978 The band has moved on, as they so callously and cold-bloodedly do, after anyone leaves the 'brotherhood'. You're in, til you're out. This line-up is the best in their entire arc of evolution, after the prog-jazz-rock anomaly of 67-78 but you will never hear compliments from Lamm or Walt or Pankow on that fact.

That first cut , make me smile, is true legendary. Takes me back to my years around 1970 to 1973 when I didn’t know what I was going to do in my life but run .. I was full of life and music was my savior. One spring day on Friday I was going the back roads listening to Three Dog Night and that led me to Chicago Transit Authority . But it was Robert Harland (rest in peace) that first told me about this group called Chicago. Robert was three years older my older sisters classmate. We were one night walking down this dark dirt road , a short cut headed to get some white port wine . Robert said have you heard this new group called Chicago. I said no. Then he broke singing Does anybody know what time it is. I said man that’s cold Robert. Cause do really know what time it is. So this big thing karaoke many years later and I put that song in my list of Kareoke songs along with beggings, and that beautiful ballad, Color my world. My goodness Terry Kraft put his stamp on that song and many more. The introduction with the piano and then Terry capturing the deft of your heart with that slow timeless vocal. If you listened closely he’s putting some notes in that vocal. Probably one of the greatest songs ever recorded. In 2009 in Oklahoma City at the zoo amphitheater Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire. Among the greatest concerts and I’ve seen a lot of them . My wife made me go get drinks and nachos. I bought an EWF shirt and then coming back down the stairs they were playing . I said hurry Up and get to your seat. Amazing. So much brass, percussions, drums, bass and lead gutters guitars. And with those instruments and vocals. Nobody stepped on anybody It was beautifully laced together.I think every young kid ought to learn music. It’s so vital . My two girls were in band from 6 grade through 12th grade.. Thank you Robert for introducing me to one of the greatest bands ever. Ya’ll enjoy . And my name around the corner I took him that concert with the two groups. He played bass in a band 60’s to early 70’s. He stayed glued to the set and knew every song as he broke down each. I sat amazed of his recognition. Now like Robert Frank’s gone on. But my memory of him was a fond one. He was friend, my neighbor and we came from different backgrounds. We grew up in a time where kids respected and appreciated life . And that’s what I’ve given you a piece of my life influenced by one of the greatest bands ever. The birth of the muscle cars, the eight track tape players, and color tv. Wow? LB Boomer Sooner August 15, 2023 Tuesday morning 6:42am.
