I used to arrange medical transportation for patients, and at least four times, drivers called to me cancel their trips because they learned their clients had passed away. I would alway be shocked by the news, and then I would call the medical facility to confirm it. At that point, I would ask about the cause of death, time of death (even though I was never taught to do that), and then I would delete their account because… well, dead people don’t need accounts.

Dr. Charles is my favorite character on the show. He's actually my favorite character on any medical show. I needed and need a Dr. Charles in my life.
@aeliajawad29993 жыл бұрын
I just love Dr. Charles and Dr. Sara's relationship. The way Dr. Charles often comforted her and gave her advice. He also played the father role in her life and after her father came in the picture, he tried to fix things in the beginning. And after she left, Noah said something like Reese said that he was the father she never had. So simple and sophisticated at the same time. Like even when Dr. Charles was defibrillated, that look on Sara's face said volumes in itself.
@Spikastru4 жыл бұрын
And this is why I respect Doctors, nurses and the hospital staff. Not because their knowledge, their status or the money they make. They have to deal with sickness, death and people everyday. Thank you for your service.

Even though Krabbe disease is a horrible disease and a nightmare for a family with a small child, the parents took it better than expected...
@weavercs40145 жыл бұрын
Probably because it isn't real. People IRL may well handle it better or much worse, no way to know. I imagine most people would be broken
@Liam-bq1qp4 жыл бұрын
@@weavercs4014 Actually, it is real. However, it's EXTREMELY rare and there are so little cases about it. There is also no cure and it is very fatal. Krabbe Disease can develop early or later in life. It is often detected on infants who are below 6 months. The treatment Dr. Reese told to the parents is also a real thing, and it is usually done to children and infants who have not yet developed any symptoms.
@JacobsEvelien4 жыл бұрын
@@Liam-bq1qp I'm. Eh very certain. That Adam meant that they are actors reacting. Not the disease being fake. The reactions irl on this situation would probably be way different for parents.
@RetroGamingSweden3 жыл бұрын
@@JacobsEvelien Sorry for a late reply.. But since we are talking about what is real and what is not real.. Let's also talk about "shock". Something MOST parents would be in a state of after hearing these sorts of news. Specific reactions can NOT be expected in this situation. I think Dr. Resse is unable to believe in herself when she comes at the stage when you need to confront the parent or legal guardian and with this statement she can't be a doctor who is fully committed and direct with her patients. Other than that being said I think she a paranoi which stops her from truly noticing the problem of her patient and if anyone realized that she seems scared near patient's. Oh and thanks to everyone who listened to my ted talk about Dr.Resse and her problem.
