Maybe I’m missing something - but it seems to be an awfully big terminal for the few gates attached to it. Are there more gates that aren’t shown?

Terminal 2 consist of gate E1-E17 and F1-F28

I was thinking the same thing. There are two satellite terminals to the west of existing terminal 2 and south of terminal 1. They are having one of the other architecture firms design and build two new satellite concourses for the new terminal. It will be a bit like Heathrow T5; One main terminal with amenities and a few gates, followed by two satellite concourses with gates.

Are they adding another a380 gate? I saw a picture of the terminal 5 expansion and saw a a380 gate at the new part that they are building.

O'hare is outdated and shit compared to other countries' major airports. This would be great. However, probably should put this project on hold due to the pandemic.

actually, during the Pandemic when travel numbers are down and capacity is low would be your best opportunity to build out traffic areas on the tarmac.

@@FlyboyUS I think this is the fund from Trump's administration to prepare for upcoming World Cup and Olympics. During Obama's administration, he passed huge budget to upgrades and expand some popular airports around the country to prepare for these two events.
