My parents raised me lifelong vegetarian and my dad is from around here, I got a chance to try this place when visiting my grandparents and it was totally delicious! I’ll definitely return next trip from CO to IL I make!

First time I left India as a 25 year old..in 1996/97...landed in Chicago suburbs.. Elk Groove Village, Desplains, Woodale ... and eat at all those Indian restaurants in and around... but I can’t remember any names of Indian restaurants.. Indian food in US(even UK) is just about acceptable .. can’t blame them... they are trying their best

Amazingly profuse variety! And falafel and hummus!!!... I wish, I wish I was in Chawpatti!.. Though, “War and Peace” length menu would be somewhat longer and thicker… By the way, Lev Nikolayevich was vegetarian (at least, for some time). Not to be divisive but unfortunately Indian food is not just northern indian fare . Authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine from Udipi Mysore Bengaluru Chennai Madurai etc etc is less seen in these areas May be south indians in US have less inclination for hotel entreprneurship We see lots of Gujrati Punjabi vegetarian but very few south indian vegetarian joints Visit classical south indian vegetarian hotels in bengaluru and you will know what I am talking about

I think if people want to try vegan food then Indian food is great...from the States like Gujarat, Maharashtra and rajstan... basically west India is your choice....but make sure that you make your self clear that you don't want any milk products in it...but 60% of food you will find in this region is vegan food they just don't know difference between vegetarian and vegan food so make sure take some one who speaks English with you so that he can tell you that which dishes is vegan and which dishes are not vegan...be careful punjabi food has very big diary portion in it...so avoid punjabi dishes.
