So I moved to United States in 1974 from the Philippines, we lived on the southside of Chicago near Oak Park… And then we moved to Lake Geneva Wisconsin… I had such a wonderful idyllic childhood from about second grade 2 about sixth grade… From there, after my parents were divorced..a very common thing in the 80s…and we moved to Highland Park Illinois so I could go to junior high school and high school at HPHS… instead of Northwestern military academy about , blocks 3 blocks from our home in LG…And when we arrived in HP I didn’t realize how nice the area was until I figured out that we were just blocks from the lake and two blocks from Ravinia… And I will never forget that I had an opportunity to hear Ella Fitzgerald and other jazz greats when I was really young… I would never take that for granted… And after so many years living just two blocks away from Ravinia… What an awesome place… I was really lucky to grow up in both environments… And now that I live in Chicago I really miss the idyllic peace and quiet of Lake Geneva Wisconsin, and even Highland Park every now and then… Maybe that’s why I really enjoyed this documentary… Thank you Jeff and WTTW🙏

Agreed. Something to change language on is the reference to ‘Indians.’ They are Native Americans…

Ravinia was built by the electric line the Chicago and Milwaukee Electric. Had nothing to do with the steam roads.
