Natalie made a real mistake there, going against better judgement and orders of the attending. But Will was wrong too. All the commenters saying that he did it because he loves/cares for her, this is exactly why workplace romances are frowned upon. And if you're going to engage in a relationship with a coworker, the least you can do is keep professional decisions separate from personal feelings. Dr Halstead was wrong here. Him saying he took the blame because he didn't want her hurt; he may have good intentions, but it's patronizing and annoying. Eventually the truth may even come out and then Dr Manning will be in even worse shape. But yea Dr Manning. Oof. Quite a string of bad, impulsive decisions.
@fliksc9786
@fliksc9786 2 жыл бұрын
Dr Halstead was trying to be nice, to call it patronising because you felt patronised, or even to call it annoying because it annoyed you.. has no bearing on whether the decision was right,,, or wrong.. How you feel about someone's action does not mean it was wrong. Secondly a co-worker taking the blame for another co-workers action is one of the most commonly kind things done across the entire worksphere. I personally believe that this speaks far more about Dr Manning's insecurity than Halstead,, the fact that love caused an action instead of friendship or compassion is pretty much irrelevant.

@@georgiahind2947 Will has flaws too but I feel so much more sympathy for him than for her. The problem with her is that she makes everything about herself. She's very insecure and it shows, she's always looking for a reason to say people are looking down on her. She is very judgemental and unprofessional. When all is good she's kind but the second she has an issue with Will she becomes abusive and hurtful, she doesn't actually know how to communicate. I know people like her and they make you terrified of disagreeing with them because they lash out at you and hurt you and that exactly I see in Will's eyes. He did make a mistake by covering for her but I think as two adults there should be a solution other than screaming at him and projecting her Insecurities on him by accusing him on looking down on her.

The more I watch Chicago Med, the more and more I think ... These patients come into emergency, and they get seen by a doctor immediately - and sometimes even by two doctors who just happen to be free or doing nothing too important. There's no waiting time of HOURS for anything less than immediately life-threatening, such as happens at real-life emergency departments (in Australia where I live, at least). Sometimes, the patients are even patients - like homeless people - who don't have any insurance, but the doctors go all out to see them and treat them with everything necessary regardless. Is this representative of real life in America/Chicago? Or is it actually a hospital set in Utopia with a fake/substitute name of "Chicago"?

I always hated Natalie tbh. She played God constantly and even if she had the best intentions, the is wrong. She was incapable of making objective choices and had that "I know everything because I'm a mom" attitude that really pisses me off. Happy they broke it off because Will kept having to go against his own moral code to help her and that was toxic as hell. If the genders were swapped, everyone would see it that way. That said, Torrey DeVitto is one hell of an actress!

She can right sometimes but overall she's very toxic. Very egocentric, makes everything about herself and doesn't know how to communicate without being insulting and hurtful.

I’ve never liked dr manning, whenever she’s in trouble she’s the victim, but when she’s not, she’s has to always be right or always get the last word. She directly goes against the basic procedures, she may do what the patient wants, but not what they need. I may not be a medical specialist or professional in any way, but I know that outside of her actual medical know how, she’s much more qualified than me. So why does she always make bad decisions or take bad situations and make them worse. I’m sure the actress who plays her is lovely in real life, and she seems like a very good actress just overall, it’s just disappointing that a good actress has to play a terrible character.

Dr. Manning is the worse doctor of all medical drama. So unfocused, so biased, so unlikely to learn. She only can get involved with patients.
