This was a pretty realistic representation of sadness or depression when it comes to teenage beauty standards. Also the way she said she didn't know wether she wanted to kill herself or not. A lot of depressed people doesn't really want to "die" they just want the bad things in their lives to go away. I'm depressed and don't want to die at all, but it's the only way out of the life I've been given.

Having been suicidal myself.. it is not the only way, it is the only way you are able to see at the moment.. not the same thing:) Someone once said, if you feel there is no way out, close your eyes, and remember the good. It is hard at first, but a pretty flower, a smile, a funny kitten.. more personal memories? Remember the good, it tends to drown in misery, but it matters, best wishes:)

I'm going to leave this here, but the older generation had a significant impact on how these beauty standards came to be. Millenials were ingrained with the idea that image is everything. You have to dress like this, look like that, always be on your best at any time. I've lived it myself. I couldn't even wear what I wanted when going to the shop with my mom. She never admitted it but when I wasn't dressed like she wanted, she was just embarassed. I loved some clothes in my closet and wore them when wanting to be comfortable. She hated it and always pushed me to wear the newest things out, especially when with her. She doesn't understand how she much she contributed to my bad self image and appearance issues. I feel like I'm not allowed to be who I want to be.
@rachelcookie3212 жыл бұрын
People claim kids are dressing to old for the age now but this has always been a thing. Look back 100 years ago and the teenagers are dressed like mini adults. It’s actually more freaky because they look like middle aged people.

It started when i was 8 after a pretty rough sickness. It did not hurt, but it was visible and many others who dont know any about this condition mocked and even hurt me because of it. I was ashamed and and spend most of my teenage years in full, body hiding clothes, which high insecurities what i still had. Now i look at it and said it not that so bad. Now its not spreading anymore, not hurt, not infectious, i just need to be careful with the sun.But it showed me how people can be cruel and stupid and hurt another one, juts because they're different.

I only ever watch this show on youtube so I'm confused why is Dr Reese working as a barista and Dr Charles on wheelchair

So dr Reese was meant to be going into pathology after she finished her ED rotation. Because she ‘applied ‘ to go into pathology. But she fell in love with the ED so decided that she would quit going into pathology and try to work in the ED. But she couldn’t because of like a whole bunch of stuff, so she had no job so became a barista in the hospital. Then Dr Charles decided to offer Dr Reese a position in Psychiatry since she was good at that side when she was working in the ED

I think this might have been after Dr Charles was shot so that's why he is in the wheelchair for this episode.

Why is she wearing a long coat? Residents wear short coats, you only get long coats once you are a fully equipped doctor.

I kinda feel bad for the mother, you can see her breaking up when she’s talking to Charles and Reese, and she probably has no idea she might have a part in why her daughter feels like this, or blames herself for not noticing her daughters feelings.
