Vegeta can tell Frieza is still alive because he can sense his energy approaching Earth. Frieza doesn't know how to supress his Ki like our main characters do, so they can sense him from far away approaching.

In DBS Broly Frieza sent low-power soldiers to Earth in secret to steal the Dragon Balls because he knew he couldn't get near the planet himself without being detected by Goku and Vegeta.

Piccolo and his internal conversation are probably the single most genius change that TeamFourStar made to the show (yes I'm stealing this opinion from TotllyNotMark but dangit, he's right!) giving us so much more insight into Piccolo as a character, I always liked him in the original but he had a habit of being very stoic and quiet, a subtler character to get into. Also you don't need mouth flaps for an internal dialogue :P genius

TFS themselves admitted to really happy with how it worked out too. They where unsure with it why they dropped the line 'will fade away eventually' as an escape if it wouldn't work out. It did and it will even become better later in this season. Same as how well the Goku vs Freeza banter worked out. They where afraid of loosing out on the dynamic banter Freeza and Vegeta had, untill they realized Goku is just to dumb to fall in Freeza's banter and that would annoy the hell out of Freeza. Great. Comedy ensues.

Capsule Corp is the corporation created by Bulma's family that patented the concept of storing all sort of things as big as cars, planes, or even houses inside tiny capsules, making them one of the richest families in this world. That's why she has that fancy house and all those random devices on hand. No one really liked original Garlic Jr arc, and it wouldn't make much sense with how TFS Popo is set up, so they cut the entire thing short there. DBZ Kai Ep 2.9 covers that arc in the same format as the movies. Aside from that and the Revenge of Cooler movie you missed, there wouldn't be any more movies until ep 42.

So, in DBZA canon, Lord Popo is actually one of yheir gsme characters (specifically from Dragon Ball Xenoverse) named Dumplin. Dumplin is a demon god of indescribable power, semi-retired to watch over Earth, because it amuses him. What he used on Garlic Jr was one of his more powerful techniques, known as "The Fuckbox". It traps his target in another dimension, to be at the mercy of Fuckbox Jeff. Jeff is actually a decent guy that likes to play Golden Axe with those Dumplin/Popo banishes there. Otherwise, it's a dimension of suffering and darkness only Lord Popo and Fuckbox Jeff can comfortably survive. Garlic Jr's Dead Zone is far more preferable to the Fuckbox.

21:24 pretty much everyone has their own Ki signature or "energy aura/prescence". So if theyre familiar with the person, they can sense/know who it is. Being able to sense/detect energy levels basically replaced the scouters they wore because well..from this point on power levels/power scaling is pretty much bs lol.

Several amazing things happen in Season 3. TFS decided to push themselves and evolve their writing beyond making (good) jokes, and add their own spin on the original character arcs. They do great stuff with Bulma, have the definitive version of (episode 33/34 is out) Trunks and really turn the dial back on Krillin and make him the solid backup (that is unsure if he can win, but will always try is goshdarnet best to help out where he can) like he essentially was in the original show.

6:04 So the Jynx X Mr. Popo joke was due to false claims of blackface leveled against them the creators had to change the black to a blue color. So they have that in common. 7:02 Yep and it’s a running joke in the Abridged. I’ve heard it’s only in the most recent Dragon Ball Super: Heroes movie that he has a house 16:39 So this episode condensed 5 episodes into one and ignored the actual plot of it. A lot of it is shown in Kai 2.9 (An April Fools joke from TFS). Basically Garlic Jr. releases a plot device mist that makes anybody (and those they bite except Namekians) evil causing Kami and Mr. Popo to go on an adventure for the cure to it while Poccolo, Krillan and Gohan to fight off Garlic Jr. and his new henchmen. The Walking Zed joke used a scene from that arc So the eggplant haired stranger you’ll find out in two episodes his name, Capsule Corp was made by Bulma’s family the Briefs basically most technology in the world can be condensed into a capsule for easy movement. There was an extra end credit scene at the end of Episode 30 that should Freeza’s father finding him and his crew making what was left of Freeza into a cyborg but it has to be removed because they used the music from the creation of Darth Vader so they copyright hit it. And Goku basically told the dragon that he didn’t wish to return I believe you’ll also hear where he was in two episodes.

Not normally. Goku has to go to King Kai's to do that, since cosmologically, the Kai Realm is somewhat close to every location in the universe. Which is also how Goku travels super long distances with instant transmission, he goes to the Kai realm and then pops back out where he wants to go to cheat on the distance traveled, unless it's close enough he can arrive there instantly without doing so. the edge of the Solar system is when they felt him. The large scale tracking stations the PTO uses can detect (though they do use satelite relays to enhance the detection range) and process energy from much further away than most energy sensing users can, and even then, they were only a few solar systems away to detect Freiza 100% and SSJ Goku, though freeza's ship was transmitting back to them (they mentioned they were using the tracking stations to pin-point the location of namek villages after their scouters were destroyed, but it was much less precise and took longer to analyze the results and get the data back).

Ok, to be clear, within the context of DBZ abridged*, the Marron plotline IS CANON. Krillin was just explaining why he needed a place to stay, he wasnt telling a fake story In the ACTUAL story, all the contents of what they covered in episode 31 were completely noncanon. The garlic jr bit is filler in the actual story and they dont wanna bother with it in abridged so they resolve the whole thing as a gag even though they pretended like they were gonna seriously address it

So Garlic Jr had a mini-arc in Dragon Ball Z. To be honest it was pretty boring and didn't amount to much. So TeamFourStar decided to abridge everything down to an after credits segment and make a Mr Popo joke. To be honest it was a good choice.

Just a little advice regarding people who watch your reactions and are long-time fans of the original show. When you feel like judging a character in a very definitive or harsh way (like saying "he's so dumb" or "he's gross"), please keep in mind that you're watching a parody that might misrepresent characters for comedic purposes. Some of these characters are beloved parts of people's childhoods. For instance, people who have never watched any of the original material might see some of the actions depicted in the abridged series as stupid or goofy, which can be a bit frustrating when you know the actual characters very well. Like Goku in that parody is very one-dimensional and stupid, which is fine since it's a parody, but a huge part of his personality is literally absent from it. So when you see someone starting to form definitive judgments on what he does, thinking it's stupid and doesn't make sense, it can be a bit frustrating to watch. Please keep being mindful of that aspect. It's a fun abridged parody of a show and not the show itself.

Again, this is a parody so they play up Krillin being a complete womanizing asshole who is typicallytoo weak to handle many situations. In the actual show, he does everything in his power to help and save his friend/people and is not problematic. As a human, he is one of, if not the strongest on earth. This unfortunately doesn't stack up to the power that some life in space might have. Just keep in mind that you are watching a parody. Maybe go back and watch the actual show for more content.
