In order to become first Elden Lord and consort of Queen Marika, Horoah Loux had to supress his lust for battle, for war and blood. The Beast Regent Serosh was bound to him to make this happen. And by tearing Serosh from himself, he returned to his true self, and was no longer a puppet of the Golden Order

The Rune of Death being unbound is actually a good thing. The Rune of Death is like the physical law of death and it was taken from the Elden Ring (all the laws of nature in this universe) so because it was taken, death no longer affects the world. People die and come back to life over and over and over (hence why the player respawns after every death) until they become insane and then eventually hollow husks of their former selves. So by bring the Rune of Death back into play, natural life can exist again.

Some of the bosses dont have intro cutscenes but do have phase transition cutscenes. Thats why some of them are on when they are clearly injured in some way

So for Rennalla she pretty much went insane when her husband left her for god (which is actually himself but whatever) and the second phase is her daughter Ranni basically creating an illusion of her mother at full strength that’s why she says to spread far and wide that the Queen of Caria is still strong to deter others from attacking her as she is currently pretty weak

Something that I didn't know until recently is the themes of false identities in the story. Marika (the crucified lady at the end) is also Radagon (the red-haired hammer guy also at the end). This theme also goes on down the family. Margett is an Omen, (people born with horns coming out of their body and thrown into the sewer of their capital because of how grotesque they were born) who's only purpose is to guard the front gates of Goldricks castle so people can't get a piece of the Elden Ring. In reality, he is Morgott, Merica's son, and someone who has a claim to become Elden Lord. Millenia looks like a holy warrior, when in reality, she is a poor woman suffering by rotting from the inside out. Godrick looks like a respectable king when he is actually a barbarian who just wants to throw hands with the boys. Even the names of the family are similar to continue this facade, to confuse the common people into thinking that the royal family is better than they actually are. All to continue Merica's tyrannical Golden Order.

25:25 actually the rune of death being unbound means people will be able to die again. Until this point in the story, everyone was forced into a decaying eternal life. So it's a good thing.

Rune of death being unbound is good. It means things can die but also new life can be born. It was sealed to give everyone eternal life. It did not go well. Thats why things look so gnarly. Corruption and sickness still happens so you get eternal suffering instead of the peace and mercy of true death.

The Tarnished looking different each cutscene could be because the player kept finding new cool armor and switching it out lol EDIT: The Rune of Death being unbound means that death is now a part of the universe again basically. Short context: It was stolen and sealed away in a vessel, the Wolfman you saw. This is why he asks death to "become his blade once more". Once defeated, you may release the rune of death, Why do we want this? Because you can't kill a god if the concept of death is trapped and hidden away. Godfrey's Lion, Serosh, is sort of a vessel in his own way to contain Hoarah Loux's (Godfrey's other name) vicious nature. He took up the name Godfrey because Hoarah Loux was a warlord and an Elden Lord is basically a king. Civilized and approachable.

Margit - alter ego of Morgott. Son of Godfrey and God queen, Marika. Godrick - Distant poor relation of Godfrey. Rennala - Was married to Radagon (Marika's second husband) for a while. Radahn and Rykard - Sons of Rennala and Radagon. Fire Giant - Part of an ancient race, who fought Radagon and Marika. Malenia - Daughter of Radagon and Marika. Mohg - Another son of Godfrey and Marika. Godfrey - Warrior, who donned the lion on his back, in order to suppress his violent alter ego, Horah Loux. Marika's first husband. Radagon - Married to Marika, but puzzlingly, they probably turned out to be the same being. Elden Beast - Controlled the whole damn thing, an was a God from an outer world.

Radahn is just a force of nature Driven feral by scarlet rot. Still using gravity magic to hold the stars themselves in stasis Still using gravity magic to make himself light as a feather to that horse (it’s his favorite horse and he refused to abandon it when he grew too big) Still able to body everyone and everything that comes his way. He’s fighting with three different handicaps and still a tough fight. Morgott’s sword is his own cursed blood crystallized into a giant curved blade. The rune of death…well, to explain fully would take a while. Basically, this rune was removed from the Elden Ring to ensure souls continuously are reborn anew through Erdtree burial. Only the power of this rune can kill something permanently. It being unbound means death is now indiscriminate. Things can die naturally again.

That always made Ranni the best girl. You show up to fight Renalla, her mother. She's pathetic and loses instantly, because she's given up on life after her divorce. So Ranni says, "Fine, fight how I remember my mom being a s a little girl" and conjures a duplicate. And since it's your parent, she's huge, and powerful, and never cries at nothin.

Because if you say, "Killing people" in a world where no one ever dies, because everyone comes back to life after a little while, you're going to have to make a very complicated argument. "Freeing every slave in the lands between, and potentially the world" is pretty much the opposite of a sociopath.
