Neither coffee or energy drinks for me. Exercise wakes me up just fine. I worked my ass off in Boot Camp and I absolutely refuse to let that pain go to waste, so I never stopped working out in the morning. I'm 36 now, spent 8 years in the Corps, been out 10 years and I'm STILL doing my own PT every morning because it's easier to maintain what you have than build it up all over again. 3 mile run every other morning, lifting weights on the opposite days.

What you do is Physical Stimulation of your Body. But driving doesn't drain you energy physically (except maybe like sore feet and neck), it drains your body mentally. No amount of exercise will keep you awake as much as a hefty dose of Caffeine.

@@ironsights7462 Not really. Just maintaining what I built during boot. I've lost a few steps from age and combat injuries, but I'm doing pretty well and I feel great the rest of the day. Working different muscle groups throughout the week keeps you from overworking anything.

I'm not a driver, but coffee hits different than energy drinks. If you've been driving for a couple hours, a coffee and a cigarette would hit like a dream. Energy drinks are for when you want a soda, but screw it, give me caffeine too. For example, gaming, editing or getting B-roll for your video. Just got home from work and brought some trashy food home with you, but you don't want to get sleepy with the boys? Ice cold energy drink. When it comes to life in general, a hot coffee will change your entire perspective on your day.
