34:25 You don't have to sign an NDA to play SC, there is only a small group of players who are in the Evocati group, including me, who have access to versions that are not yet public, that's why we have a signed NDA, there are about 1500 of us, out of almost 5 million SC players . About 80% of what you see in this video is already in the game. Welcome to Star Citizen Verse !

You've actually been able to do most of what's been shown here for years now, the new stuff that's going to be added starts about halfway through the video, the first part has all been there. Granted, that public space on the ice planet usually doesnt have NPC's walking around and feeling alive, but NPC behaviour is being worked on and is dependent on server tick rate, so they often get bugged and stuck. But the whole seamless transitions from space to planet and back again has been there since like 2018. The ships being fully explorable is a requirement for them to even be added to the game. It's an incredible feeling to literally fly anywhere on the planet and set down. Really gets those immersion juices going ya know? Now I just need a full Simpit setup 😅

6:15 or so: Yeah you can do that - fly from space to ground and back with no loading. This is basically all in the game already, with only some graphical improvements and smaller gameplay systems still making their way in, with one big exception: the second star system isn’t in yet became they need to implement a tech called server meshing to be able to run multiple star systems in a single continuous play area. 21:00 or so: in the lore, after some terraforming the atmosphere on Crusader was made breathable at a certain altitude, so they built a city there to be able to build space ships in lower gravity than a full 1g, but without the inconvenience of needing to wear a space suit. A very very pretty location. Also space whales aren’t in game yet :( but they’re coming later. The warp travel with the blue effects and things is called “quantum travel” and is slower than light, but still very fast. The only faster than light travel in the game/lore is flying through worm holes called Jump Points like the one connecting the megacorp-run Stanton system to the lawless Pyro system. 32:00 or so: the fire simulation isn’t in the playable game yet but they’ve shown it working before - best idea there is to get to space, get the crew into space suits, and vent the ship to deny the fire oxygen. Or better yet, don’t catch fire in the first place by taking care of your ship components and staying out of harms way lol 34:00 or so: nobody signs an NDA except an invite-only group of dedicated game testers called Evocati. Anyone can play the game by buying a $45 game package, or for free during one of the several “free fly” events during the year. 38:00 or so: in Pyro there’s no government at all, so you’ve got to protect yourself and those you care about. And not everyone in a lawless system is a “bad guy” for sure, and there are plenty of friendly (though wary) groups too. Building reputation with organizations is planned to be a major goal to unlock more content.

What this guy said. Lots of good already accomplished. I’ll explain some of the bad things. A lot of gameplay features aren’t implemented/finished. Missing game loops, simple initial game loops etc… There are a lot of bugs/crashes in the game. Hopefully there will be a point where there aren’t a lot of bugs. Also many of the ships they sold players are not in the game yet. It will take many years to get through the ship backlog. Overall the game is slowly making progress and will hopefully one day feel like a stable well implemented game. Having said all this I am optimistic they will produce a good game. The question is how many more years will that take

Check out Bedbananas' Prison Escape video. That video encompasses a lot of what you see in that StarEngine demo. It's also pretty cool because it's a story-driven video even though it's just a couple of friends having fun. It's one of the best actual gameplay videos for Star Citizen showcasing the crime/law system, the ship destruction, the prison system, the bounty-hunting system, and the flight mechanics. I've been a backer since 2016 and currently concierge level space marshal, so I'm relatively invested in the success of the project. Not sure why anyone said you have to sign an NDA to play...that is patently false. Just pledge for a $45 starter ship package and you can play the persistent universe, aka "PU" aka "Live" or jump into action in Arena Commander. You should keep your eye on this. The project is really ramping up. I'm subbed for more star citizen content. Also, I second the comments below about watching the Bedbananas videos. They are partially scripted, then totally improvised, and extremely entertaining.

As a player of SC for the last 3 years, a very very active player, every location shown triggers a memory in game. Every place, every ship, thinking about all the different things, battles fought, all the exploration. Absolutely, it's not a full game but that stops no one from having fun and seeing the potential. The whole flying from a surface to space, that's done on the regular. Space battles are even fought that way in this game. If you don't want to play right now, that's totally fine but it's shaping to be one of the best experiences you'll get in gaming.

everything up until the Pyro jump (except the animals) is already in the game, and you can play it right now. Only a few members selected to test the earliest development stages sign an NDA. They call this "Evocati". The test builds get pushed through to different waves of people depending on their priority in the Testing system. (based on money spent/subscription). 27:25 or so is the Pyro Star system, it was a system that was previously exploited by a company named Pyrote Amalgamated, but due to the heavy burden of the crazy solar flares of Pyro's Flare star the company eventually went bankrupt, leaving their stations and facilities to slowly rot in space. Soon thereafter pirate bands such as the Renegades moved in and are in a constant struggle with other smaller/larger gangs for domination of the system, Fuel and services are hard to come by in the system, and the system is also 4-5 times bigger then the first one, meaning most ships do not have the fuel capacity to be able to make a jump across it. The Star is very notorious for its rampant and dangerous solar flares which can destroy ship systems, knock them out of quantum and giving people lethal doses of radiation if they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The terrestrial planet was an attempt at terraforming, but the star is way too self destructive to make it economically viable.

Definitely an interesting game to follow and play. Mooooost of that stuff has made its way in game and whats left they put out updates on progress. Keep in mind, you'll need an impressive rig to get the highest settings and some of the more obscure graphical features aren't fully there yet. Can definitely say I've visited every station/planet/moon shown off in the presentation. Couple suggestions: - If you are interested, wait until they do a free fly. Game is great but still very much an early access title with all the quirks and stability one would expect. - Ignore all the pricy stuff. They'll sell you a fleet of ships for outrageous prices, but you can get pretty much everything you need in game through normal gameplay. An Avenger Titan starter pack will get you a decent starter ship and the game for maybe a tad more than your normal game at release. - If you're interested in the 'How' or 'Why' of whatever is going on in that setting, best source is a content creator @TheAstroHistorian who does a great job of covering the history, politics, and almost all of the background information of the setting in lore.

Alright let’s break this down a bit 😊 1. No NDA unless you’re with the special group of testers. 2. There are some things like the critters that are not in yet, but will be getting some good stuff within the 12 months. 3. You can do anything in Star Citizen. If you wanna mine, we got that. You wanna blow ppl up? We got pvp, bounty hunting and beyond. If you wanna carry a damn box from planet Yela (planet with rings) to New Babbage (city on the snow planet) then by god you can do it! You want missions? We got so many missions it hard to keep track at times. 4. It is in ALPHA, so yes it can go from “stable” to server crash quickly, but they are fixing that and have developing tech to save your ship and cargo. With that being said, it has been more stable recently. Also, it has a steep learning curve but they are in the process of fixing up the new player experience. 5. Price of admission is $45USD which is cheaper than most AAA games. 6. Since Sq42 is feature complete, the updates and fixes have come hot and heavy. 7. The last point, people talkin bout it and watching it, you don’t get the true feeling of “oh shit” till you’re playin it.

Regarding your question on the progress. I've backed this game at the end of 2019, so I'm not even nearly as long a backer as some members of the community are, but from my own experience the development speed increased over the years and from what I've gathered from looking at previous progress and from listening to older backers I'd say development now sprints when it meandered before. That being said, there are quite a few things you see in this video that are supposed to be released within the next 12 months. Fire propagation, animal life, wormholes to new systems, the second system in the game, ground fog, sweat and tears, the water decals, destructible environment, tattoos... those are things that currently don't exist in the live version of the game, and the second system in particular and likely the animal life as well will depend on if they can scale their server meshing tech to the size they need for two entire star systems. A lot of what you see and more can be done in the game already though. There are a couple of activities you can engage in and they have a relatively good variety of things to do, but those activities can also feel a bit shallow after a while (shooting NPCs in different environments doesn't feel a lot different if those NPCs are all equipped with the same 3 types of weapons for example). CIG is getting better at interconnecting systems (mainly because they slowly start to have systems to interconnect) which provides a bit more depth, but the main expantion of content is yet to come. A lot of the systems are still in early development and a lot of the activities that you should be able to do at some point have yet to be designed. We got the first part of salvaging - hull scraping - at the start of the year and will get a preliminary second part - structural salvage - with the next patch which should arrive this month. We also have mining, very limited trading, bounty hunting, racing, and basically a whole lot of different types of package delivery missions. Technically we also have refueling but with fuel being as cheap and as abundant as it is right now no one is actively engaging with it, medical gameplay is rather limited as well being currently relegated to only trauma care and predominantly only after a player character was wounded enough to become unconcious and dying, repairs though only the ship hull and only very limited, as well as piracy but basically only against other players. So there is a lot still to do. But even the most basic stuff feels pretty awesome if you're doing it in space or on the surface of a different planet or moon. If you want to check out lore videos go to the channel "TheAstroHistorian": www.youtube.com/@TheAstroHistorian Paul is a backer himself, but he presents the lore of this game in video format rather than in small tidbits of text spread over hundrets of sources like CIG does. Essentially CIG provides the lore via excerpts of in-universe media, and Paul gathers those and makes videos about specific topics. He made a couple of timeline videos where he tells about the main historical events in human history from today till the current date in Star Citizen, but they are massive... it really feels like 930 years have passed in this universe. He does have a lot of topical much shorter videos as well. "The Jumptown Wars" is an in-Universe documentary by Paul about an actual emergent event in the game that happened due to an error in the price of a drug you could trade in the game. So basically a real life error lead to an event in the game which made it into the lore of the game, and that was documented by a documentary done by one of the gamers. Watch it. It's awesome. It's mostly just audio but it's incredible. Since SC provides Face Over IP tech so that you can animate your characters face by moving your own, SC has been used to create a lot of machinimas as well. "Adrift", "Overclocked", and "Beacon Banu" are certainly some of the best in that regard, though they don't really represent the actual gaming experience. If you want to check out Star Citizen, there are at least 4 free fly events each year. One is in November (so you just missed it) and one is generally in May, the remaining 2 are generally some time in the other 2 quarters, mostly after a major patch. I love the game, but I can't really recommend backing it yet. I believe people should only back this game if they do so even though everyone told them not to. This has to be something you have tried and where you have seen the jank that's still in there with your own eyes. And if you then want to still put money into this project and you don't mind that it might be that you can't play for days, weeks, or months if things go sideways, I can agree that you might not burn out on it. The development speeds up, but in light of what still has to be done, it'll still take a lot of time.

When it comes to "How?" in 20:24. Crusader (the planet where Orison is located) is a loss-mass gas giant with a breathable atmosphere at high altitudes. According to the Star Citizen lore when UEE (United Earth Empire) decided to sell planets in Stanton system the planet was purchased by Crusader Industries (later referred as C.I.) to become their home base of operations and their main manufacturing hub. C.I. produces Spaceships and its components, so the low atmosphere of Crusader was a good place for them to manufacture ships of various size. Orison - the capital of C.I. is essentially just a network of orbital-class platforms that were originally created by UEE Navy for military use, that Crusader heavily modified. These platforms have special thrusters below them which are activated at specific intervals (in-game, if you play with a controller, it should vibrate from time-to-time when u're at Orison) to keep the platforms at specific altitude. The platforms also double as refinery stations which collect the gas from the planet and convert it into fuel, making all those platform self-sustained, which excludes the need to supply them with fuel from other external sources.

As others have said, all of this except for the Wormhole and the Space whales are in game now. You can wake up in your apartment, get on a tram to the spaceport, go to your hangar, walk through your ship, launch, break atmo, quantum to another planet or moon, do an atmo dive, land and get into a ground vehicle and drive around without a single loading screen. It's absolutely digital black magic, man. This is 11 months old, but it shows what the game really can do: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2TUeHiXhbd7ebM

The bugs are life changing too. BTW, I love the nice touch that they showed their fire simulation in the kitchen of that Reclaimer, so someone did start a kitchen fire :D And the warp travel is actual warp travel and is called quantum travel. It's actually sublight speed, fastest drive is iirc 280 or 290,000 km/s For FTL travel you are using wormholes, but that is not yet implemented. But most of the stuff shown in this engine trailer actually do work in the game right now. Just not very well , full of yank and often with a server tick rate that is single digit. And with only 100 players per server maximum. Once they have server meshing things should work smoother from the server side of things. Well, if they ever managed to get that working. Though no animals yet, which is most likely for the better even the npc's on POI do t-bose a lot and the servers are struggling as mentioned. But after at least 10 years of development and starting all over several times because that problem is really hard to crack they might actually have a version of it that works out. Should be out this year .... with a lot of fine print. ;-)

It was very interesting to see you react to this, loved the video! I'm someone who plays Star Citizen casually but on a regular basis. A lot of the features that impressed you the most (seamless transitions from space to planets, usable ship and building interiors, detailed environments, the asteroid ring station and the gas planet) are already in the game. It already is a sandbox that offers a lot of opportunities for creative gameplay. At the same time, it is still deep in an alpha state and there are bugs and server performance problems that will heavily impact gameplay at times. A lot of players enjoy the game nevertheless, because it offers an experience like nothing else. Rescuing players that are stranded on a moon, planet or in space is one of my favourite activities. In terms of Star Citizen videos, I would recommend a channel called "Voidy Vids". He's more on the criminal side of gameplay, but the videos show how creative you can be in this game and how it looks in its current state.

There is literally only one loading screen in Star Citizen, and that is when you first load into the game. Everything from your first login to you exit the game is one seamless experience. General term in Star Citizen: If you can see it, you can go there, if you can't see it you can explore it. There is a huuuge patch incoming in the next month or two (2.23) that will be a game changer for SC, it brings a lot of the tech from SQ42 over to SC. This is the year of SC and the best time to start/come back. And just for the sake of saying it, you never have pay a dime more than the cheapest starter pack, around $45. Everything can be earned in game. Good video.

While I bought SC three years ago, I only really began playing it a couple of month ago. There are kind of three loading screens. When respawning after death, when being sent to prison, and when being released from prison. Other, than that, it is seamless. Things like the fire system isn't in the "public universe" yet, but they have done demos and talked about it (venting the air is a valid tactic to suppress the fire, but returning air before the area has cooled down is going to ignite it again, and so on). There's a lot of stuff that they are working on, and some current game functionality that are just place holders. Then there are bugs. So many bugs. What works can stop working in a later patch. As it still isn't completed, they also do wipes from time to time, even if the big wipes when everyone has to start over from scratch isn't that often. So, for those that gets too frustrated by the game acting weird at times, it might be better to wait. Currently, the game is on different shards, with only about a hundred players per shard. That shard is however a whole star system. The technology of Server Meshing seems to have got quite a bit beyond the proof of concept stage and in closed testing, and what's needed to make it truly massive.

They actually do have survival elements in this game. You have to manage hydration and nutrition (eat and drink) and planetary temperatures are a factor. Low or high temperatures can only be survived for a short time unless you have the proper spacesuit, and there are a wide variety of suits that can withstand certain temperature ranges, including a few that are specifically designed for extreme environments of heat or cold.

Oh I really wish i had recorded it but when pirates were hitting smo-18 on Microtech (The ice world from the video) I took a STV (Jeep like vehicle) over to it from 10k. got there early in the day under the pirates noses but saw it was too hot to try to get a ship out so I tried to drive back to my hidden ship. I started noticing my limbs turning red, taking damage. i was like what the hell. i thought it was a bug and jumped out the STV thinking it was something stuck. as soon as I stood up I was shivering. I realized that it was getting darker and my clothing didn't protect me any more. I was beginning to get frostbite. It was one of the most intense drives back across the mountains as even sitting the shivering started to affect my driving. then I made it to the final hill barely able to steer and had to make a quick decision to go left or right to get to my ship. i picked the left and it was too far over but my arms were now numb so I couldn't even steer to correct it. I stumbled out the STV made it a few more meters and collapsed just in sight of my ship. It was frustrating and funny at the same time. I had no idea they had put so many environmental dangers in the game. You can also get heat stroke as well. I learned that on another world were the I stayed too long and finally collapsed and kept collapsing every time I got healed before I realized my internal temp was too high so I was stroking out every time. so I had to get carried on to a ship and given fluids and given time to cool down. So yeah there are some really amazing survival mechanics in the game.

First, the music is the same in the game. Around 90% of what you just seen is already in the game. We are already playing it now. It costs $45 US for a starter ship and the game package and you need not pay another cent if you don't want to unless you wish to support the game further. I have played it on a potato laptop with an i5 processor, 16 gigs of RAM, an nVidia 1050T, and an SSD. The most important piece of hardware is the SSD. I now play it on an i7 gaming laptop, with 32 gigs of RAM, an nVidia 3070, and of course the SSD. I get about 30 to 70fps in various parts of the game (the 30fps in the cities). It is an MMORPG/Sandbox with Spaceflight Simulation (think M. Flight Sim), Ground Battle Mil-Sim (Think Squad or ARMA), Hauling (American Truck Sim). Farming (Farming Sim (soon)) Bounty Hunting and Piracy (closest I can think of is Star Wars: Galaxies), Exploration (remember no walls or cut-scenes), Data-running (recon, spying), Mining Sim, Salvage (Ship Breaker), a dynamic player and AI run the economy with even an ever-changing stock market, the list goes on and on. Finally, the friendliest most helpful player base and dev team I have ever seen in any game I have played (I'm 66 years old and have been playing video games since Pong). The average player age is 49 years, which means a lot of adults and few "kids" (or should I say the "immature"). Remember, these people, both player and dev alike, want this game to succeed. We have put our hard-earned money into it and have "Held the Line" waiting for the best video game ever made. ...and no, you don't have to sign an NDA.

About 6:00 in you pause it and say that "it is one thing to show this and another thing altogether to actually do it... and that if that's the case it is pretty ground breaking." And that is entirely true. With that said everything you had seen at that point is in the game right now. That planet is there. That city is there. You can fly down to the planet from space with no loading screens. The clouds are there. That tunnel to Wally's Bar is there and the vibe at Wally's Bar changes entirely at night with a laser light show. Also, the day/night cycle is controlled by the planet's rotation, not some arbitrary fake sun in the sky. The day time light actually comes from the star at the center of the system, but then with multiple planets receiving light from the same star they couldn't do it any other way.

It is easier to list the things not currently in the game that are in this Star Engine trailer. The first is the "space cows" and the little settlement. The jump from planet to planet is in game but the visuals are simpler currently. The next is the "sky whales" as you called them. Then the jump point tunnel to Pyro and all of the locations there, but those locations and more were on a preview server that was available to select players in late Oct/early Nov 2023. The water effects, physical destruction, cloth effects and sweat and tears are also not in game just yet. A US$45 pledge towards the development will give a person a copy of Star Citizen that includes a ship in game. No one needs to spend more than US$45 (unless VAT tax or something) on the game. Most of the ships can be purchased with credits earned in game. Status of Star Citizen as of today. You can fly around, land on planets, moons yada yada WITHOUT loading screens! You can do space combat, FPS combat, drive around in land vehicles and a lot more. However the NPC don't work, AI is janky AF, there are no creatures or villages currently and the missions you can get are pretty minimal and repetitive. So what we have as of now is a HUGE sandbox to play in and we have to make up a lot of the content ourselves but as you can see from this video that stuff is coming we just don't know when. So in my opinion get a cheap pack and hop into the game and see for yourself. If you like what you see and want to spend more then please do so because it helps the game get made.

Ok. So I would say a good 2/3 of what you seen in this vid is already there and playable in Star Citizen right now... RIGHT... NOW. From the start of the video up to the jump point, pretty much all that you seen there is in the game right now with the exception of the animals (and a few minor other stuff that doesn't really change anything in terms of game-play). The jump point and the star system on the other side of the jump point accounts for a big bulk of that other 1/3 that is currently NOT in the game. That being said, they hope to get everything you've seen in this video in the game within the next 12 months (Oct 2024). NDA Its not what you think. There are a few different releases of the game, for simplicity lets call them 1st Test, 2nd Test & Live, (LIVE is the current playable alpha that everyone has access to when you get the game). The 1st Test is the one that is NDA and only a select few of the community are in this group, they will often test the very earliest of builds and the content of those builds may NOT make it into the final "LIVE" version (the current playable alpha). 2nd Test is where its not NDA but new content is pushed here to focus test on the new content. New builds are released to the 2nd Test group and each new build opens up to a new sub set group of players, getting more and more players in until eventually all players have access to it should they wish. LIVE is simply the the alpha in its current state. Regardless of if you want to take part in the 1st or 2nd test groups or not, you will always have access to LIVE which is where all the MMO player base "Live". If you want to get into SC, you can do so on some potatoes of a PC but you have to make concessions to do so and even if you have a beast of a PC, you would still need to make optimizations to play. Additionally, to get the most out of your time when/if you do choose to get into SC, get in with a guide so you are not simply stuck in the 1 of 3 loading screens... the death loading screen. PS the other loading screens are prison & loading the game!

It was interesting to watch your reaction. If I may, a few words from a long-time Star Citizen player - the game hasn't actually been released yet, it's still in pre-alpha. for me, this "game" at the current stage evokes two opposite emotions: delight and irritation :) Admiration for the potential, scope, detail, and irritation and anger at the crookedly implemented mechanics, glitches, and the constant need to overcome them on the way to an acceptable gaming experience. This "game" also requires a lot of patience. And it's a good idea to have a group of friends, because it's a game that's revealed to its fullest potential in a team. I would also recommend watching the Star Citizen Cinematic-Fan trailer: Wanderers, it was made 3 years ago, but it is full of gameplay moments and gives you an opportunity to compare the progress of development since then. You can also look for a bunch of incredible, diverse fan-made videos right in the game.

The best takeaway from this is the tech aspect of it. How many games let you fly or drive or walk from place to place with no loading screens and these absolutely MASSIVE areas? They're fairly empty at the moment but once more POIs get added and player base building is added...its excitint to think of what players will do. Still some bugs to work out, but having backed since 2015, this is lightyears ahead of what it was then. Edited to add: Everything you saw was legit in game engine. Its crazy good. But everything after the wormhole to the Pyro system is still in progress content, more or less. In other words, engine wise it is all legit even if you can't do some of the stuff shown yet.

@38:10 yes, the entire Pyro system is lawless, including the station you first saw on entering, which is controlled by gangs...the outpost on the planet needs those defenses because there's no law enforcement to protect them from pirates and whatnot...

Much of this is in game already, though that vid features tech scheduled for next year. That was all DX11 though. Most graphical optimisations & improvements are set for once Vulcan is in. There’s a fair amount of tech still to come that’ll ouch SC farther. Eg static & then dynamic server meshing.

Crusader is an interesting planet. Like Bespin, in Star Wars, is a gas giant, probably would crush you near the "surface" (even Jupiter has some kind of solid core), yet the atmosphere is breathable and comfortable near the edge of space. People will tell you that it's scientifically impossible, to which I respond... Rule of Cool! And nothing's cooler than a city in the clouds! The space whale statue is a really cool monument. The same park in the game has another large "monument", a huge set of wind chimes meant to simulate the call of the whales. When you stand under is, you can actually hear the breeze produce the sound of said chant.

pretty much all that is shown up to the jump to Pyro system, except fauna is in the game right now.

There's no NDA, I have visited all of these plants, you fly from ground to space and back without loading screens etc. Everything here is already in the game with a few exceptions. Caves currently have one entrance/exit, but this will change soon. Currently no wildlife bar a few small creatures, but they're coming.. The pyro system exists, however, the wormhole between the systems isn't in yet. This is on hold pending something called server meshing. Another video worth watching if you get a chance to. Beyond that...yeah, it's all in the game now. I guess what they didn't show here was all the types of mining, vehicle salvage, space combat, gound combat, racing (air and ground), tanks, hover vehicles etc etc... There's a lot to it, but almost everything in this game is waiting on server meshing to go live as there's so much that requires this feature first to work effectively. Once live, Stanton and Pyro will be just 2 of the 80 planned systems

Everything shown in this except updated cloud tech and animals already exists in the live persistent universe and test servers

To add to what many have already said, yes around 70-80% of what you have seen is already in the game and can be explored. While I truly enjoy playing the game regularly there is not a lot of depth to gameplay, story, or sense of progression at the moment in the game. The game is an amazing screenshot simulator with some potentially decent combat. There are a handful of careers with some defined gameplay loops and earnings to be made. However; the current state of the game is a little too open of a sandbox where you are left to imagine or create gameplay scenarios with no real impact to your progression nor the world around you. That being said, it can be a fun weekend game with a few friends if you have a few hours for a session.

I think the best clue that we are not living in a videogame is that I never experienced a 30k error in real life.

Oh man, the seamless play.. we've had it for years now. Everything is kinda already there in the Live build up except the creatures, and maybe the 'working' NPC. As someone new, you might waste 100 hours just having fun figuring things out while being amazed by the scale of it. Then you realize it is impressive but its not really a game yet, its a sandbox game at best in which you make your own fun, but unless you have a gameloop that you like or have friends to mess around with, it will feel like a tech demo most of the time. And thats not a bad thing, don't get me wrong.

I think the big things not in the game is the scattered light stuff from the new game engine. The fire gameplay stuff. destructable objects. and alien animal life. oh and water effects. clouds, going between worlds, to orbit, to ground to inside buildings is all streamed in real time so no loading screens. yes already in game. if there is lag you will catch stuff popping into existence but usually its much faster than trying to load a level since it is streaming in just what you see. So yes you can get as close as they do anything in the game. The only thing missing is taking a tram or elevator ride to get places. so more time is involved in getting from location to location but the rest you can already do. RECOMENDATIONS: Terada's ultimate battle show or any of his hardflying videos that's all game footage and is beautiful to see. Bad Banana's jailbreak, and The War on Jumptown (arguably his best one. he really got the story telling and editing down in that one)

"Can you do it" there's a reason it says in engine, real time, no loading screens. 90% of what you see here is already in game, anyone can go and experience these things themselves. Animals aren't yet in, but soon.
