@@r.daneel.90 there are a few guys just as good as he is, but most of their stuff is focused entirely on single player and they have either quit because of other things in their life or their consistency of posting are literally years apart and therefore not going to go much higher. Look up Pandamic's video Dream if you want a good example

I used self-destruct at JT once. I wasn't doing JT at all. I was trying to build up my rep with GrimHex a bit more. Running a supply mission for Klim out on the MT moons. My second stop was that weekend's JT location. I messaged in chat that I was a non-hostile on a supply mission for Klim. They let me land, let me come in, then when I had the package for Klim to take to the next stop, they gunned me down and destroyed the package. Ideally, interrupting the supply chain should shut down the machines at JT. But we're not there yet. So I respawned, came back in my 325a, watched them load their 890j for a bit, knew there was no way I could destroy an 890 with a 325a in a fight, so I parked under their 890 and set my self-destruct. And then I remembered that you can't eject from a ship when you're under another ship. So I took out all of us.

34:32 actually cannon depression/elevation is very commonly used when talking about mounted or fixed cannons. He was asking him if the vehicle was on an angle that allowed him to aim low enough to hit targets in jumptown, a tank on level or rising ground wouldn't be able to aim down enough to hit targets in a field below them so the driver has to position on an angle of depression, aka a downward slope.

Yea it also applies to ground weapons. I've seen some people complaining about it, but it really makes ground-to-air a lot more effective.

@@billywashere6965 yep, and they need to make it so Nova tank cannon shots hit ground targets (NPCs) doing splash damage does nothing to them.

@@Relixification Absolutely this. In fact, all explosives need shrapnel/splash damage, especially the A2 bomb drops (then again, shrapnel will be a natural occurrence of PES in 3.18 since anything that blows up will go flying, which is kind of cool).

What would be interesting to see too is as those ships get implemented, we also see increased features in scraping. Imagine you and your crew are in a Jav, and get into a fight with another one. You guys soft kill the enemy, then board and clear out the ship. At the same time, a few of your crewmates jump back to port and grab their fighters and a reclaimer. The reclaimer tows the jav out of the area to grimhex or another location to get sold for scrap while the fighters provide support to any enemies returning to claim the ship.

Taking not only components (shielg, power generator, guns and ammo, ...), but taking whole turret or engine (Connie has those four things and i dont know real name) taking those thing would be cool and then scraping ships. I did not played Hardspace: shipbreaker wached some vids, close to that would be cool. Taking Crucible, ARGO SRV, Reclimer and Voulters and dismanteling whole ship. With Jav you got work for whole ORG for few days.

17:50 They should reintroduce hover mode, that would make it harder to just stay suspended in the air like that. Never understood why they removed it in the first place, maybe people complained about it being too hard/cumbersome to control, yeah like no shit, that's the point... A2 would also be solved by this, it would actually require a bit of skill, doing actual bombing runs instead of just dropping bombs while being suspended in the air above.

It was removed because of the Jerky movements it would cause transitioning into other gravity grids like a hangar and killing players. It's a good idea, executed poorly.

@@MaLcH10R no it was removed because it required skill and players didnt like things that werent immediately doable. plus it had the issue of changing at a random time/height what your control inputs effectively did which messed with people. in space/atmo you strafe right/left by strafing. in hover mode you would suddenly strafe left/right by rolling.

I am not involved with Star Citizen, I've only seen a few videos but I am a game designer. I have a solution for the self-destruct exploit if you want to open a bug report/ exploit ticket in the developer forums. Include a security system for a ship as an add-on in-game purchase. Where the owner of a ship can add/remove approved players. Not approved? You can't pilot the ship or set the self destruct. That way the functionality continues to exist as it does now, but for those that invest in precautions there is an added obsticle for explotation. That also opens opportunities for equipment and skills to hack something as well. Anyway, just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.

They have a ton of plans for that type of stuff. They've been working on stuff like setting crew member permissions etc. Also hacking of said systems. There is a huge rework in quite slow progress involving making all the ships run off a resource system. Fuel, water, power running to each component and even door...

You should watch some of Rubixraptors videos on Star Citizen, they are maybe not on BedBananas level but they are up there. He also regularly makes great videos on ARMA 3 with his group named IGNIS, apparantly they have hundreds of members, i found that out on his end of the year video.

lol i did the hiding in the bunk thing once to steal someones A2 that they were harassing jumptown with lol they dropped a friend off at grimhex above the outter landing pads, i floated over before they could bring up their elevator. he never knew what hit him lol he complained all night that i was hacking lol

Btw, I'd like to give an advice for future: it'd be better to not comment the video right over it. Either pause, or wait for calm moments. There are a lot of talks going in the video, so it's hard to understand who's talking. Also, I think, putting it in a frame would also benefit, beacause the overlay in the corner over the video covers significant part of the video.

Why would cover be effective to a moab it's just death maybe if you were on the outside of the blast but the concussive force alone is going to kill you the very ground is going to kill by transmittance of the concussive force under the blast. it's not some grenade .

Yeah, that's an argument that always confused me with the A2's MOAB. It's a giant fuckoff thermobaric explosive (also why it won't work out of atmo). It doesn't need to hit you, it just needs to rip your lungs out through your throat with air pressure differential.

It's cool to see if you aren't the one being vaporized & ships shouldn't be able to park up outside unattended without risk. Balancing ground & air power is so difficult and it gets worse the more simulation/realism a game has. Something as big as an A2 should be visible before it even breaks atmosphere, I think very early detection is the only way they can really balance the crazy disparity in power-levels.

@@Anonnymouse53 I just feel like JT and most encounters are way cooler without giant "I win" buttons flying in and nuking everything. Imagine a jumptown where you actually had soft death wrecks everywhere and infantry engaging and using them as cover, tanks and small ground assault craft rolling up and spaceships fighting above. Instead it's just gonna be A2s rolling up and wiping everything every few minutes. Yawn. Ship should never have been made.

One solution I can think of for the A2 without nerfing it hard would be to either give it ONE bomb, or giving it a significantly longer reload time between bombs. A2 is definitely anti-fun (for me) though. Then again, I'm the guy who loves playing infantry-only maps in Battlefield 4 because tanks and helicopters start to feel tedious after a while. And yes, I understand that this is all very subjective and I may be in the minority.

Camping a static pve mission is "emergent gameplay" that was based off a pvp event a bunch of us old turds came up with years ago. Cig added a box mission to it. Look at those terrible frames and the desync that is absolutely abysmal.

Yeah I can't take myself away from that. The on-foot combat which forms most of the video looks awful because of the desync and random quirks of SC. I much preferred his prison escape video, that was really good and had a more comedic tone which BB knows how to do.
