Incredible memories from early childhood growing up in Leclaire Courts Housing Projects on Chicago's Southwest Side. Not only eating but shopping for clothes and shoes in Jew Town. I can still taste and smell the grilled onions and sausages right now in Dallas, Texas! No one can emulate the culinary mastery of Chicago Chefs. I truly miss the variety of real food.

When I lived in Chicago and growing up, EVERYBODY from the neighborhood was aware of Jew Town. The grilled onions are iconic for smothering the Polish Sausages. No other place in this country through my culinary experiences is able to duplicate their masterpiece. Memories are ingrained in the Chicago Food tradition.
