I think that it’s a sign of respect and that they respect the culture just like in Japan. I lived in Tokyo in 1999,I had a blast there, and the Chicano dudes in Tokyo who are Japanese it was 100% out of love for the Chicano culture. That’s exactly what it was. The people who say that they are appropriating the culture have no clue of what they’re talking about. The couple dudes in knew in Tokyo were super respectful and the whole Japanese culture is all about RESPECT AND HONOR. I seen two Japanese dudes straight up bow to each other and then they fought. When the fight was over they bowed to one another. When I lived there it was 100% out of honor and respect. The other thing is that the Japanese people would not dress like Chicano’s and be into the culture with the music,cars and fashion if they were not totally serious and super respectful about it. Man Japan is a totally different culture than the US and it’s all about RESPECT AND HONOR THERE. They are completely different than the US. For the better

6:48 when I got to Korea, I was blown away. I expected to see rice patties and jungle all over the place. Seoul looks like New York. It’s crazy to see how far they came from being rubble and destroyed in 1952 to where they’re now.
@inthendwealldie8 ай бұрын
The US kept supporting South Korea, even to this day, loads of American troops (over 20k+ stationed in S Korea) and bases in SK, so they survived the commie North Korean, the Soviets and the Chinese reunification attempt when they invaded in the 1950s It took the US, whatever there was of the South Korean Army of the time, and the whole UN Forces (around 16 countries) to repel the massive communist onslaught, so the South Koreans could fully develop themselves under the protection of the US, knowing the US will come to their aid as an ally and I guess an ultimate protector (should the US not abandon them like they did to the Afghans, South Vietnamese, etc.) Whereas South Vietnam as an example (since the vid is bout Vietnam, and I think CMac is in Saigon city), all American support abandoned, they left the South Vietnamese and the US trained mountain ppl (I think the Hmongs) completely for dead, basically all American troops withdrawn, Americans not allowed to assist SVN due to Congress, no ammo, no parts for vehicles and aircraft, loads of SVN aircraft stuck on the ground, Congress refused to send any support, etc., so eventually the communist North reunified the South, and they didn’t have a chance to develop themselves like the South Koreans (assuming South VN could develop themselves like S Korea if they didn't fall and were completely under US protection like South Korea 🤷♂️) Also, I think the average Joe makes about 50 cents to around 90 cents minimum wage in USD equivalent an hour over in Vietnam depending on their district, is why the cost of living of everything in VN (assuming they ain't extra foreigner tax you a bit) is very low compared to US standards

IMHO some or many of the Americanized Raza in America, or at least in Califa will be like that torta foo Happy and say “He ain’t Mexican ese” basically having that sorta mindset, cuz IMO many vatos are narrow minded, they see any Asian foo as an example, even if they Korean, Cambo, Thai or whatever, they be like "pinche chinito", the Raza be hating/bangin on/picking on the Salvo foos as an example in the 80s after they fled their civil war, and they started their own varrios in LA in the 80s to combat back against the Chicano Gs in LA, the Cambos in Long Beach had to start their own hoods to combat against the Longos, etc. Look at the hatred between the North and Southern Califa G Raza, its like North Korea and South Korea 😂😂 at least for the G gente and institutionalized foos, they trippin on LA Lakers and Dodger gear up North, etc., usually its puro hatred for the most part and a lot of animosity cuz them organizations and where they from, so IMO its just a lot of hatred esp if they narrow minded and hit you with the “You ain’t Mexican ese”, and also when it comes to rappers like Mr. Crim, Mr Cap E, etc., they be ppl trippin cause oh... they ain't ethically Mexican like wtf, they putting it down for the Raza, but they got a lot of haters when foos discover their ethnicity

Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam have Chicano culture. I can’t speak for the rest but Vietnam’s Chicano culture was introduced by SoCal Vietnamese gangstas back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. SoCal Viets dress very similar to the Mexican homies. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Idk about everybody else but if I see any other race adopt my culture, I would be ecstatic.
