I'm a nontransitioned MtF transgender, so perhaps not surprisingly I disagree with some of this family's religious views. However, I was raised a Roman Catholic, so I understand the basis for their religious views. I'm not a business person, I'll never be Dale Carnegie, but I respect the fact that some people, religious or not, are very good at business matters, as Truett Cathy is. His religious beliefs are a defining part of what he is, but they are not ALL that he is. So, whether you agree with his religious beliefs or not, you can respect his great achievements, like his business achievements. Like, I smoke too, but being a smoker and transgendered is not all that I am either... but, as you can imagine, those two identities within myself often splits a few support bases! I'm 52, I've seen the world change a lot in my lifetime... I'm sure Truett has seen the world change even more. I like to think we all do the best we can to do what we feel is right. I wish Truett all the best and hope he just keeps on keeping on... however, whether in fact patronizing Chick-fil-A is supporting anti-LGBT rights activity or not, that's the way many of my trans friends see it. So, Truett seems like a nice guy and I've known many religious people who are very nice, but if any of my trans friends saw me at Chick-fil-A I'd instantly be in big trouble.

Thank you so much for standing up and not backing down. Honor the the Lord, . Amen . What i believe and what someone else believes can be different. But i will Not force people to think and do as I do.. This also means the same for them to you. I raised my children one way as my parent did me. But the only person that decides how to live & believe is the person that is living that life. A United States President's mother said this her son : “to take on new challenges and do what is right even though sometimes the consequences politically speaking were not good.” That is the best advice I've heard in a long time. It doesn't mater what someone else believes, but what I believe. The Part Where Everyone is getting mess up on is, give them the respect, each person deserves. As those people should do for us. You show people love & tolerance, not hatred & fear.

He doesn't discriminate against gays but he hates homosexuality. Hate the sin not the sinner. I hate homosexuality with my guts but I don't hate innocent people who happen to be homosexual and there's nothing wrong with that
