I followed the recipe but used 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 of black pepper and added 2 tomatoes. It was loverly thank you 😊

Just a tip for everyone who cooks. When you cook always use a wooden spoon so that the bottom of your saucepan doesn't get scratched/damaged :)... Lovely fulaab though mashAllah

I don’t know if I’m being seriously stupid right now or not but it went from frying the rice to the chicken and rice is mixed together and your adding the water.. what happens after you fry the rice? 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Hey, no you are correct, I think I missed a clip while editing 🤦🏻♀️. Fry the rice for about 5 minutes then add the prepared curry and allow to fry for 2-3 minutes before adding the water. Hope that helps!

Hi, after adding water leave on high heat until it starts to boil, after its starts boiling put the lid on and turn heat down to medium-low and cook until the rice is cooked through. Hope that helps!

No problem. And sorry for my late response. I finally got around to making it this weekend for Iftar and it was an absolute winner!😊 Family loved it! I did have a few questions. Do you have to fry the rice separately? Or can it be combined as a 1 pot dish? If the rice needs to be cooked separately. Do you add the rice to the chicken curry or the other way around? I couldn't tell in the video as it looks like that step was skipped? Also what are the cooking and heat intensity for each stage? (Onion frying stage, masala mixing stage, chicken cooking stages etc)? Anyway sorry for so many questions. I appreciate you listing all the ingredient quantities in the description. That was a HUGE help. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful recipe. My family and I absolutely loved it.

ana karim Salaam sis. You should fry the potato in the ghee before adding in the rice, then add rice and fry til fragrant and follow steps accordingly. The water should soften the potato as it cooks the rice. Hope that helps 😊

Hi Linda Cook down your onions , ginger + garlic paste, whole spices, oil, ghee and salt as shown in the video, then add the chicken/meat of choice, let the chicken/meat cook 90% through, then add 2-3 table spoons (depending on the amount of chicken/meat used) cook together til chicken/meat is fully cooked through. Mix in pre cooked rice to the chicken/meat curry, put lid on and steam on lowest heat for 5-10minutes. Hope that helps.
