I used to cook "soggy" vegetables, like you do here, but I learnt to stir fry my meats and vegetables individually... not to sit in the sauce for long! Then, add them, one by one in the end, like the Chinese Chefs do! Try it!!! You will be happy with the results! Thanks again for showing! I enjoyed your recipes!

It looks delicious. And all these years I believe I've had a culinary memory lapse lol. When I was quite a bit younger I remember eating a dish called chow mein. Or at least that's what I thought it was called in my memory. Years later I would come across a dish called chow mein that had noodles in it that I didn't remember eating as a child. I suppose the mystery has been solved and it may have actually been chop suey I was eating as a young lad because I do remember meat of some sort, vegetables, and Bean sprouts.

As I understood it, chop suey comes from "Chao za sui", which means stir-fried chopped, or broken pieces. In fact, when thinking about it a lot of the wok dishes are "chao za sui", stir fried chopped up pieces with different flavour profiles.
