This looks delicious 😋 When we did an elimination diet, I had to substitute balsamic vinegar for soy sauce to make adobo. When you stir fry and let the balsamic vinegar simmer before adding the chicken and honey (with salt and pepper to flavor), the taste is very close to the original adobo!

You can hardly see Binakol in the restaurants because it's a traditional Ilongo dish mostly served in restaurants that specialize on Ilongo dishes like KBL and Chicken Linagpang. This dish is very common in households in Southern Iloilo.

That's my favorite soup too and you might want to taste it with alabihod leaves! That's how we cook it eversince. We have the alabihod tree at home. Gives it a different and level up taste! A must try!

My fam cooks this dish LITERALLY on almost all important occassions in the house. We would add potatoes, cabbage and bell peppers for extra flavor and texture. This dish is soooo underrated, but Ilonggo peeps would never get tired eating this. Ps. I clicked this when I saw coconuts. Lol

The sauce which u made is very similar to what we have in thailand. Its called พริกนําปลา. Wrong spelling of นํา though as i had to put another letter which is not working on my phone. Anyways the sauce is made of some thai chilli or birds eye chilli and some garlic and lime juice and fish sauce.
