Candace you are going to have to start charging Jeremy $10 a day for every day he uses your tools and then leaves with them to go on the trips. Just think a week of him being gone with your tools is $70 in your pocket. 🤣🤣🤣 All joking aside. Great job on the coop build. Hope you plan to anchor the building down. Wouldn't want a bear to push up against it and knock it off the pavers. May God Bless and Keep Your Family Safe 💞 Be Happy 😂 Safe and Healthy 💞

Great job guys! You might want to consider putting down some cheap linoleum over the pavers. Otherwise they will absorb urine and smell REALLY BAD no matter how frequently you clean out the coop. Linoleum floor makes it super easy to sweep out the soiled pine shavings every week and keep your chicken coop clean and odor-free. you're going to love having your own chickens for eggs-- nothing like fresh eggs from your backyard!

Great job putting the chicken house together!!! I love your “American Gothic” pose!!! The American Gothic painting is from my state of Iowa! Fun fact: the house in the original painting was inspired by a house in Eldon, Iowa. There is a museum in Eldon, IA, which is actually located in the original house, and it's called American Gothic House Center. You can actually take your picture in front of the original house. They provide a man’s costume, a woman’s costume, and a pitch fork for the picture! 📷 The artist, Grant Wood, was originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. So, yeah, it's an Iowa thing! 😃

There’s a way to make these tomato plants produce a good quality product. You can plant early there’s a guy on KZbin that does it and shows how to do it. He cuts the bottom out of 5 gallon buckets plants, the tomato instructed places the bucket over the plant The open bottom and then throw in the compost or dirt around the buckets It’s a soil that has a good bit of wood chips, light and fluffy. and he also positions a piece of tubing into the ground so that he can water it through the tubing I guess or something like that. If a cold snap occurs there’s pieces of plywood probably 12“ x 12“ or any kind of plastic and boards and just lay over the top of the buckets and they’re protected from the freezing or frost, then when the time comes just rake that soil back, remove those buckets and your plants are already half grown at normal planting time

I know nothing about the weather there or chicken coops lol. 🇨🇦

Candace, have you named your chickens yet? I recommend old fashioned names. Greta, Ophelia, Myrtle, Grace, Olivia, Maudie, Mamie, Pearl, Miriam, Ruth, are just a few suggestions. My favorite is Ophelia because that’s my first great grand daughter born January 24, this year. My grandma named hers. I thought you and the kiddos would have fun naming them. 😄😁

Thank you Candice and Jeremy for the update on how things are going there in Georgia ! Just a few questions are you going to anchor the coop down somehow ? Is that a little slope in front of the coop ? If so what will you use to keep rain and mud from going underneath the front panels of the coop ? Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you will be doing next !
@savingthecabin10 ай бұрын
I expect some water to run under/between the pavers, but I bought rubber mats to line the floor with and keep the damp at bay. It m going to use the corkscrew style anchors in the ground to keep it from blowing away.
