As an artist all my life I learnt to push things till they broke. That way I knew how far to go. It works but…. I did this with the chicken flour, just to make sure I had it dark enough, I put it in the micro an extra two minutes, sure enough it burnt…a hole in the paper plate and the flour stuck to the plate. This might help anyone feeling the need to just do it a bit longer. 🇦🇺

Thank you so much for this!! I live in a country where it would be ridiculously expensive to order the meat “flours” so I haven’t been able to try them. My husband loves crispy, fried stuff and now I can make nuggets etc for him. And chicken-fried steak for both of us! 🎉 FYI, I just made this and it turned out perfectly. I used bone-in breasts I got on sale and poached them for about 20 min before shredding and following your steps. One tip: Mark the paper plates each time they come out of the microwave so you can keep track and know how much longer to cook. It’s pretty easy to see with the color but if you’re doing it in several batches or have distractions, it will help with the confusion. Can’t wait to try it out soon! ❤

I just found your channel! You have great videos! I wish I'd found this channel sooner! How should I store this flour after making a large amount? Would it be less likely to spoil if I kept it in the freezer and only pulled out a small amount at a time? I'm still concerned the freezer would cause it to be damp maybe upon thawing for a bit out of the freezer. I don't know. Any advice? Thank you!

Thanks you😁 If you make sure it’s fully dried it’s stores perfect in the fridge and freezer. I only keep my leftovers in the refrigerator for a week then I place it in the freezer. The beautiful thing about this method is you don’t have to make large batches. You can make it on demand. 😉 Have a blessed day

Have you compared the flavor of chicken flour from raw vs. from cooked chicken? I made some flour from cooked after pressure cooking for 8 minutes in my instant pot. Easy. Sliced after cooking, and used my oven to dehydrate since it was warm from baking something beforehand. Just turned on the convection fan. My oven stays warm for a long time so I never had to add more heat. Went back and forth maybe three times between the blender and the oven.

I'm to much of a germaphobe to try raws chicken🤣😂

@@cheffatgrams I totally get that! Anyway my flour tastes bland. I've made up a batch of Mel's flour, plus a batch of her almond flour blend. Haven't tried making anything yet. I'm really hoping this works as well as purported, taste-wise...not so much for me as for my very picky family who really needs to cut carbs and doesn't like the egg white bread. I'm perfectly happy to stick with the egg white bread because I've got the process down to very simple and quick, and it has zero effect on blood glucose. I've tested a lot of store-bought products with shockingly horrible results. A Solo bagel spiked me 73 points and I'm not even insulin resistant. One tortilla (Kroger store brand, Carbmaster) was a 58 point disaster.

I would say they’re the best ones for regular tortilla use. The pork rind recipe is amazing and enchiladas!!! recipe is amazing and enchiladas. The sacha inchi are great for wraps😁

Can you use the rest of the meat from the chicken as well or only the breast? Thank you so much for the great video.
@cheffatgrams Жыл бұрын
The breast will yield the best results because of how lean it is. If you use the dark meat, you will have to make sure there is no fat on it. The easiest way to achieve that would be to debone the dark meat after you chilled it. Thank you 😊
@nataliajimenez1870 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, for the meat flours lean cuts are best. This is true for beef as well. Just get whole chicken breasts whenever they are on sale and poach them before going through this process

Made it with whole rotisserie and it came out great!

@littleeagle22 awesome 😊 I would recommend you refrigerate it, because of the fattier meat😁

I just paid $32 for a teeny tiny bag of chicken flour. 😬 I don’t own a microwave oven. Would this work in the oven on a low temp?

I’m wondering probably just about the same thing, if this chicken flour can be turned into a dough and baked into pizza crust
@GerasimosMakaras Жыл бұрын
@@richiemandina5305 I'm sure that it could. I would probably want to add Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder, at the least, to cover up some of that chicken flavor though. I know that people have made loaves of bread with chicken flour. However, they commented that the slices of bread tasted like chicken nuggets.
