I experimented with a similar recipe by adding an extra cup of milk and a spoonful of condensed milk, blending them with cashews instead of onions, onions were pasted separately. The result was fantastic.

This recipe turned out great. I'm still new to cooking and usually with non-vegetarian curries one common problem is there that its watery. The onions don't really disappear. I can't make a smooth ginger garlic paste as I don't have a grinder anymore. But in this recipe the onion cashew paste really gave the curry a thickness which I loved. I have a hand blender which made it easy to make the onion paste. I didn't use as much oil as Ranveer but instead used ghee still lesser than him. So obviously there wasn't oil floating on top of the dish but I loved it a lot! I also liked that this dish doesn't use all the spices. Because then many Indian curries just taste the same cause its the same blend of spices specially the generic garam masala.
