My grandmother never really measured anything. Great cook. She had a old coffee cup she used for flour. It was cracked. Even her scratch cakes were perfect. I have trouble with the ones in a box lol

Ken, my dog was spoiled. I always spent money on anything my dog needed and I did without if needed. I gave my dog everything he needed and more during his life. I took him to the pet emergency room a couple of weeks ago and he passed at 2:30 a.m. It broke my heart. This dog was such a great companion and I had him from weaning to his passing--a total of 12 1/2 years. God bless and good luck with all of your animals!

After many decades cooking, you develop an instinct for the correct amounts of ingredients and what ingredients to use in a recipe to make them amazing. I used to measure, but now I don't. My friend and neighbor thinks my food is fantastic. Always asks about the recipe but I tell him that I use recipes as guidelines only and do my own thing. My recipes never come out the same twice, but are always yummy.
