😊 thanks, after a rain and all the humidity, they really popped out here. I remember that stump up by Droop a few years ago, when we stopped by the road to pick a bunch. Lol, we had several pounds of them that haul. Enough for your homestead and ours 😊😁

Those were probably the best batch I ever had. The wife perfected her mix for the batter, man it was a great meal 😋 👌

Oh yeah, any edible wild mushroom just rinse good, make sure all bugs and slugs out and cook thoroughly. They are tasty with butter fried as well, maybe not as tasty as say an oyster mushroom that way , but still very good. Best way I have had them are the chicken fried style though 😊

We had some rain before the heatwave and I found so many huge shrooms (Macrolepiota procera) I stopped collecting and just took pictures in the end (already had a pack for a full dish and 2 packs for the freezer).

Nice, yes, this heatwave has made mushrooming not so easy. It's been really hit and miss without the moisture. I had to look those up, as I am not familiar with those . Think I have found something similar but not the same. May not be in my region, though.
