One of the things I love about learning from your videos is the fact that you clean all the ingredients out of their bowls and jars. No wasting those gorgeous beauties in their vessels. So many professionals like you leave half the good stuff in the bowl...you never do and that shows your dedication to your profession. Thx for teaching me so much! Jo

Love chicken and turkey pot pies. A while back we rendered a whole turkey down to make meat pies and made a few in square aluminium disposable containers with just a crust topper and a bunch in smaller aluminium round pie containers with a top and bottom crust, then baked them off and let them cool and wrapped them up for deep freezer storage. Greatest thing for heat n serve, when I didn't feel like cooking. The smaller round ones I would pop out of the tin foil and put in hubby's work lunches. By the time lunch came around they were almost thawed out and easily heated in microwave and have with a container of salad.

Thank you, thank you. I have always said that raw packed chicken smells like tuna but no one has ever agreed with me. I have to rinse it and it still has that funky smell. I’m trying your method and I’m sure I’ll like it. As always, thank you for your excellent videos and your time.

Hi Linda, I thought the same thing about the canned chicken getting the tuna effect. I still raw pack my chicken, but now I add a teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon per quart jar. Right on top of meat before I seal up the jar. After processing it has a real nice color & the chicken is sitting in a nice broth too. No more tuna thing happenin. I do the same with my canned pork loin. That Better that Bouillon is really some great stuff. Nice pie btw ;)

It is so you know if a jar fails as with normal temperature changes it can reseal and give you a false sense of it being ok just like when you buy a new case of canning jars a lot of times the doors are sealed I hope that answered your question

Pimentals are expensive and all they are is roasted peeled and chopped red peppers. They are not roasted until they get black though. I use peas and carrots as well as celery and onion in my chicken pot pie and I would use pimentos and mushrooms if I were making chicken ala King.
