For those who want to try this recipe but are concerned about the tacos being too greasy, you can fry the tortillas and fold them in half while you fry them to form taco shells. Drain them on paper towels and then fill with the chicken. That way your filling doesn’t get soaked in oil.

The way we do it in Mexico is heat them in a pan. You don’t need to flash fry them. They will warm up about 1-2 mins per side on med-low, in an already hot pan That will stop the tortillas from tearing. You can use toothpicks to keep them in place too

iiAMnina no oil. The heat will make the tortillas stronger. It is the water that makes them fall apart. As the water evaporates, the tortilla becomes stronger.
