I must say that I love your channel name ! I have actually been using Uncle Steve's Shake products for a little over a year now. Both products are excellent. My advice would be to find some local backyard competitions to get started. I only do about 3 or 4 sanctioned comps in a year. If I can be of any help, just ask. Cheers ! And Thank You.

That was awesome Kent!! First time I've seen how to prep competition chicken, very cool. Question, how do you know they are cooked to the right internal temp. Just experience? Because I'm assuming you don't want to stick a probe in there and mess up the presentation.
@daddydutchbbq4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike. I probe the chicken from the end along the bone. Very hard to see where it went in.

@daddydutchbbq4 жыл бұрын
Thank you and welcome aboard. You get different levels of smoke . You will not typically just as much smoke flavor with a pellet cooker. I have both and like both. To each their own, if it is what you like then use it ! Truly there is no right or wrong.

I thought this was a great video about some of the things that go into competitive bbq. My husband used to compete before he was a judge and it's all about that presentation, well one aspect anyways. Funny about the blue cutting board because we have the same one so you don't slice through the skin. Finished product looked great, we love that sweet sexy pellet chicken as we say. I gotta order some of that rub 👍
@daddydutchbbq4 жыл бұрын
Lisa, Thank you. I remember you saying that your hubby you to compete and judge. You can’t get a perfect score without a perfect presentation. It’s the least weighed of the 3 categories but still needs to be there ! You will love the Sucklebusters products. Please be well and stay safe!
