I stretched it out over a week and built two for just over 400. But I did buy a bender and I have leftover chicken wire and hardware cloth. Thanks for sharing ✌🏻❤️

Looks good. Thought I'd share that my hubby made us trellis frames for our gardens using pipe like that. He took two pieces bent them at one end at the height we wanted it and then used a connector in the middle to put the two piece together. Its nice because you can use different kinds of trellis material and its portable. so much so that we are thinking of taking them apart and throwing them in the pod when we move.

Great update. Only catching up on your clips now, so the answer has probably be given haha. It looks like a good strong chicken house though. Our rain storms last 5 hrs in U.K. always miserable weather hehe. Take care

I tried bending pipe as a young lady. It was a failure! Worked out, got stronger, and two years later I did it! Still, it is very hard to do. Good job!

I used spare pieces of lumber where I could and bought the most economical lumber I could find. Same for screws, staples, chicken wire and other pieces. As of April 25, 2022 I can't come close to Jason's budget of $160.00 I'm way over.*

Ha-Ha now I see how you bend those pipes... Was gone for a few days so I missed a couple of videos... I'm back on track now... You're doing a great job on that chicken tractor. I will guess that you spent about $ 200 and worked about 16 hours to build it...

Maybe you should try bending hoops instead. They are easier and will give you a little more room in the coop. I do not know anything about snow load though. I live in florida. I love this design though. Did you mention size and demissions ? If so I must have missed it.

Have you considered building more of the tractor out of the pipes? Maybe the door frame and door? Just trying to think of ways to make it lighter, and I assume since you have been working with them, you probably would have a better idear.
@SowtheLand6 жыл бұрын
I would be afraid it would be too light. We already have had a gust of wind pick this tractor and move it. It does have wheels on it. My wife can move this tractor. thanks for watching!
@marksullivan9646 жыл бұрын
Ah, thanks. I think you let your girls roam a bit, but others seem to leave the chickens in the tractor constantly. I know it is much better than other chicken husbandry techniques employed, but I have been thinking about how to build bigger tractors for them, since I have the land I guess.

Hi, don't you have foxes? I'm surprise, that you can have floorless chicken coop without any lose. And as I saw, fam. Rhodes (even witout walls) - for meat chicken. Regards from Europe
