After only 2 weeks with our ChickenGuard Automatic Door, I really don't know how I lived without it! Initially, I spent a bit of time inside the run, luring the flock in through the door with some treats and they learned how to go in and out in no time! With a full-time day job and a booked and busy side hustle at our Airbnb, I'm always running. The ChickenGuard door not only gives me a bit of a break in the early morning and evening, but the chickens get more free range time because they're not waiting for me to have a break to come let them out! Now, I get to have a cup of coffee before heading out to the field to let the flock out and they're happier for getting that extra bit of sunshine time out and about. I've had this unit for 2 years. First year was fine, but for months now 1 out of 4 times I get "Calibration Error" and the door does not open or close. You need to go through the calibration process to get the door working again. All ne batteries, no tangled string, no obstructions, no excuse. Its just too expensive for 1 reliable year. Once its not reliable then its useless.
